Just that really. I had complications after a emcs last time. Looks like I will have an elective this time so trying to get my head around timescales

I was in 7 days after my emcs.
With my elective I only stayed one night.

Home by the next day, it was Christmas and I wanted to be with my 14 month old so went home . I think because it was Christmas I knew I had lots of people around and off work to help out though x

I've had two. First time I went home the following day. Second time (12 weeks ago) they were about to discharge me the following day again but my little boy had some issues due to medication I'm on, like a previous poster, so we stayed in for three nights. I was desperate to get out!

My eldest was EMCS and I was in with him from Saturday morning until Wednesday evening. He needed antibiotics though, would probably have been out earlier otherwise.

With my youngest, I had him Friday afternoon and was out with him on the Monday afternoon. I had pre-eclampsia so they had to wait for my blood pressure to go back down and I was also still needing tramadol for the pain.

1 night, I could of stayed longer but I wanted to go home as that's where I had support and the hospital were happy with how we were doing so let us go.

2 nights both times. Not sure how anyone gets out sooner, I could barely move when discharged and getting from the ward to the car, getting into the house etc was really hard. I was determined though as I really didn't want to stay any longer.

2 nights. Could have left after one but had the option of staying one more night and it seemed sensible to take it easy so went for two.
