Please tell me what helps you if you are suffering severe pgp. This is my 2nd pregnancy. My pgp currently is zoned in on the groin area and I'm crying every evening I'm in so much pain. I've got a support belt I wear daily and I'm waiting for physio at the end of the month but it seems so far away, I'm afraid it will come too late to make much difference. The mw just tells me it's 'normal'. Hmm

Even night time is painful as it flares every time I roll over, I do keep my legs clamped together but it doesn't seem to help. If I stay in the same position too long it's v uncomfortable. I'm 30+5 and feeling pretty desperate Sad

Really shouldn't use heat only ice packs.

Fill some condoms with water and freeze them in different shapes. My physio told me that 23yrs ago and I still do it. They're not overly heavy and you can get them so they sit over the top of the symphysis pubis and slightly underneath.

Don't go out and about. It's not worth it. I spent 11 weeks bed bound/in a wheelchair after 10weeks on crutches. DS1 was coming up to 2. It was hard but he's completely unscathed.

Don't push trolleys, don't hoover and don't push any prams.

Unless it's absolutely necessary for you to do something, don't do it. Call in as many favours as you can.

Don't clamp your legs together in bed! Sleep with pillows between them to keep them parallel. Sleeping on a folded over duvet helps as well if your mattress is quite firm (I was a doubter but tried this towards the end of my last pregnancy and it made a massive difference actually).

You can use heat, just not directly on your bump.
