Sweep booked for 38 weeks when would you go on ML?

Currently 32 weeks and baby is breech so everything might be pointless anyways... (As would have my csection better 37-18 weeks). My first was breech and never made it pass the ECV. However, if baby did turn would it be wiser to be on ML from that week? I originally planned to stay at work until 39/40 weeks.

@Rainbowhairdontcare thats totally up to you! I had a sweep at 37 weeks, my consultant said 1in 7 women that have a sweep go into labour and I would be that 1, I was 2 CM dilated and soft, I was induced a week later 🤷🏻‍♀️ xx

But wouldn't it be risking it to keep working until week 40? I'm really clueless about it! Plus not much nesting to do as we'll be moving a few weeks after baby is here

I had a sweep at 37 weeks and continued to work to my ML started after 38. I also had a sweep at 38,39 and when my waters broke - what are you worried about? If you do go into labour after the sweep - so be it, your maternity leave will just automatically start

I don't want to go into labour and leave things half done! Plus I'd be driving and wouldn't want to drive back home get my stuff wait for DH etc... My previous one was a c section and I was writing my MA dissertation so very different from this pregnancy!

You’ve probably answered your own question then - I think if it looks like it’s likely then you won’t want to work past 37 weeks. It’s very unlikely if you have the sweep that you would go into labour that quick - but think you know you don’t want to working still at that stage if it comes to it. Goodluck with the remainder of your pregnancy!
