I started a job in a bank working post at end of May .

Baby due end of December .

Will I be entitled to SMP ? I’m guessing not !

Smp I thinking yes but. It from workplace as you have to been employed 15 weeks at time of pregnancy, haven't you for mat B1 form? As you will be 25 weeks I believe next week?

Basically where you already pregnant when you started the job? If yes then no you would have to apply for the maternity allowance

Yes I was pregnant when started the job .

You are eligible for Maternity Leave (up to 52 weeks) so long as you give them 15 weeks notice.
You will not be eligible for Statutory Maternity Pay, but you may be eligible for Maternity Allowance, you need to have:

Worked for at least 26 weeks (they do not need to be in a row) during the 66 weeks before the week the baby’s due

and

Earned at least £390 in total in 13 of the 66 weeks before the week the baby is due (add up the highest paying weeks, they do not need to be in a row).

You claim this from the Jobcentre rather than your employer.
