If you had an anterior placenta, when did you start to feel movements?

I'm nearly 21 one weeks and although I saw baby wriggling around earlier this week at our scan, I still don't think I'm feeling movements.

I've had some strange sensations, but I wouldn't describe them as flutters really...and I have an anterior placenta (high) and baby was buried down low...so I don't know if I should be feeling more...but it's the first time I've got past 20 weeks so I'm not really sure what I'm looking out for!

I first felt like flutters around 21 weeks and felt proper kicks around 23/24 weeks. I am now 34 weeks and feel baby move constantly. I was so upset when I found out I had an anterior placenta as I thought it meant I wouldn’t feel baby as much but I feel so much and baby moves like crazy x

2 anterior placentas. Dc1 I was 23-24 weeks and dh never felt him move at all. Dc2 I could feel at 14 weeks and dh could feel her move by about week 19 or so.

I have an anterior placenta and I have been feeling movements since around 17/18 weeks. they started off sooo slight but unlike anything I've ever felt before. Now I'm 21 weeks and he is a little wiggle bum and won't stay still. I even saw my belly move last night for the first time!

I wasn't expecting to feel or see anything until at least 26 weeks so I am surprised!

I feel the movement more when I lay or my side, at first it's like bubbles but you just know it the baby, tonight she's moving like I've never felt before it's amazing can feel kicks and wriggles xx

Well I’m 21 weeks now and still not whether the little squirms/swooshes I’m feeling are actually movement or not.
I guess if I get to 24 and I’m still not sure I’ll have to speak to my midwife or midwife unit.
I do have a scan on Friday due to an issue with a previous pregnancy so maybe I’ll mention it then too!

I only ever felt swooshes/squirms and then a couple of bigger kicks nearer to birth with mine.

Thanks for sharing @amanduh I wonder if that will be me! I’m worrying that I’m not going to be able to track movements and patterns so won’t know if there are reduced movements :-/

My daughter was worried at 22weeks and had a check at the EPU and the best advice she was given was to lie on her back after a fizzy drink and feel for kicks or movement on the outside ie her abdomen...not necessarily internal movement.X
