Measuring 8 days ahead at 10 weeks?!?!

I'm exactly 10 weeks today but I'm measuring 11+1 already. The hospital is absolutely certain of my dates because I had IVF. Has anyone measured this far ahead this early? Do you think this could be an issue or need monitoring? Thanks

Were they bothered at the hospital? I measured 5 days ahead with my first (not ivf so give or take a couple of days on top of that) and nobody batted an eyelid. Ask your midwife for reassurance if you are worried.

Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I've always measured one week ahead even going by their due date. Even now baby is weighing 4lb at 30 weeks 😊 also congrats

That is interesting - 8 days seems quite a lot though I'm guessing if the hospital weren't bothered hopefully it is not an issue just an early growth spurt? Mine is an IVF pregnancy too and I had a scan at 8 weeks. Initially I was measuring 5 days ahead. The sonographer changed angles and remeasured multiple times and the smallest she could make the measurement was 3 days ahead. I have another scan booked next week for 10 weeks so will see what the situation is then! Did your sonographer do more than one reading? I guess you must have your NHS 11-13 week scan coming up soon - let us know what they say!

At my 12 week scan I should have been 12+1 but baby measured 13+2 so, like you, 8 days bigger... and I am positive on my dates as well. 20 week scan and measurements were spot on on growth chart so I really wouldn’t worry. I was a bit flummoxed though as, like I said to them, my dates were definite.
Congratulations:)
