Please please please
I'm losing my mind - 36 weeks pregnant and every single night for I'd say the past 8 weeks im not sleeping until at least 3am due to restless legs! Is there anything to help/take to ease this as I don't know if I can last another 4 weeks!!

No idea if it’s ok for pregnancy but my mum swore by peppermint, peppermint tea perhaps

I’ve had this way before pregnancy but find a sports drink (like lucozade) really helps me?

There’s also an old wives tale of sleeping with a bar of soap or potato under your feet but not sure how helpful that is!

Jumpy legs are so annoying!

Oh god I feel for you. I had this with both pregnancies. The only thing that eased it was lying on my side with a hot water bottle between my calves or knees.

Take more calcium, in the calcium & vitamin tablets. & drink A LOT more water. Like a litre more.

I had restless legs , not much advice , but I remember how awful it was and DS is 24 now !
Still get twinges of it even now , I try the tensing then relaxing the muscles from my toes up to the pelvis , and then down again , that does seem to help

0 caffeine in your diet, meditation videos do do do sleep with. Mine disappeared when baby arrived.

I found doing yoga before bed helped or having sex if your in the mood for it!

Urgh this is so awful. I'm so sorry..I really suffered with it in my last pregnancy and it is excruciatingly annoying not being able to sleep with it. I tried to describe it to DH as having a blood transfusion with really fizzy overly caffeinated coke.

I found not doing too much sitting down before bedtime was really key. But also not over exerting. A tricky balance🤔

Also, cutting sugar helped masses.

My sister had success with drinking tonic water before bed.

I had restless legs while I was pregnant with DD2, and I still get it occasionally now. My Dr said restless legs were a symptom of iron deficiency and he prescribed iron pills which really help a lot. Also, don't let your feet get cold, warm socks and a heavy (pressure) blanket work well for me too.

I used to drink a pint of water before bed. It did help but I was up peeing all night. You can’t win
