Mole biopsy at 34 weeks

Hi guys,

I'm 34 weeks pregnant with my first, I have a history of skin cancer cells and have had 3 moles removed with various surgeries on the moles to remove cancerous cells etc

I went to my gp over a mole that has changed in colour, texture and bleeds (like my others did) he referred me to a clinic and they are seeing me next week (wasn't expecting it to be so quick)

It's incredibly likely they will do a biopsy just under local anaesthetic but would this harm my baby?

Also if they need to do further surgeries or I needed further treatment - would this be safe for my baby? Or would they want to look at him being delivered earlier?

Baby is growing well (he's measuring 3 weeks ahead and is on the 95th percentile) and he's healthy but I've never been pregnant while in this situation

Trying not to get anxious, just looking for anyone who has any advice or has been in this situation before?

It should be perfectly safe. However as you are now effectively full term the preference might be to induce you first and then do the biopsy. You have more options anyway.

@Teddybear45 thanks for replying! I was thinking that, but wasn't sure. I had a mole removed prior to conceiving (we had ivf) and they were eager to have it done before we were pregnant so I wondered if they would rather wait until he was born
