Hey everybody so I had a miscarriage in May and everything went back to normal this is my 3rd cycle and I'm 2 days late I took an early response test and it said negative I've got clear watery discharge and weird back pain that I had when I found out I was pregnant this time could I be pregnant or is my body still messing with me

It is all so confusing, I have recently conceived again after miscarriage and I peed on a lot of sticks as well! In the end all you can do is give it a couple of days either your period will come or you will test positive. But I agree, the waiting is super hard.

It's hard as it normally takes me a long time to conceive so this has thrown me quite a lot me and my partner are praying it is but I darent get my hopes up again if I test positive will the doctors send me for early scans because of last time

Up to 50% of pregnancies miscarry (mostly before af was due and the woman never knows). 25% of known pregnancies miscarry. It's a sad horrible fact.

The vast majority of these were embryos that were chromosomally abnormal and there is nothing that can be done.

It's very unlikely you would be offered an early nhs scan before three miscarriages. You, of course, can get a private 'reassurance scan' although many women say they are anything but reassuring! I wouldn't get one until at least 3/4 weeks after you find out you're pregnant, as you're unlikely to see anything reassuring (like a heartbeat) much earlier than this.

That was my 3rd miscarriage my partner thinks there's something wrong with him as I have 2 children with a previous partner I'm petrified that I am
Pregnant again and it's going to go the same way :(

I had 2 MCs this year - Jan and April. After my first MC I was even more aware of
‘Symptoms’ and would read far too much into discharge, breast pain and my AF being a couple of days early or late. When I fell in April I discovered that what I believed were the key ‘signs’ from January were just things I noticed at the time, and not a sign of pregnancy. This was confirmed when I got pregnant a 3rd time - I am now 9 weeks.

Periods can (and will) be late even under normal circumstances, but after the hormonal upheaval of a miscarriage it can happen more. It’s Mother Nature being a b unfortunately.

The NHS will very unlikely offer an early scan based on 1 MC. I couldn’t get one after 2 MCs and am instead paying for a private one for reassurance. Many women on the pregnancy after loss groups on here and FB haven’t been able to get one on the NHS either. There isn’t a medical need, it’s an emotional one.

It’s an awful awful thing, I know it is, but it happens so often and is just mother nature’s way. The best bit of advice I have after having 8 months of TTC after MC is to stop tracking symptoms. Only track your period (and ovulation if you want to go down that route) as you will drive yourself mad obsessing over the little things that could be pregnancy or could equally be PMS changes you’ve just never noticed before. You will end up googling all the time. My PMS changes have also changed since each MC just to add insult to injury - hence I focused on just AF and ovulation.

Sorry for your loss OP, I wish you luck in your journey xx

Cross posted OP, sorry - after 3 MCs you can go to the GP and ask for a referral for investigations to take place. Sometimes they find a reason, sometimes they can’t. Where you live will depend on how long the wait time is xx

So I'm now 7 days late and still having negative readings how long should you be late before I see the doctor this isn't normal for me to be late

One to two months. It might not be normal for you, but it's not unusual for a woman to have an anovulatory cycle a year, which can cause a much longer cycle.

But I would recommend going to the gp to see if they might do recurrent mc testing for you.
