Hello

I'm looking for some positive stories to pull me out of this dark place.

I have suffered 1 MC, 1MMC and now an ectopic pregnancy which resulted in a ruptured tube which had to be removed.

ANY success stories out there that have had similar experiences? Painfully low at the moment.

Xx

A friend of ours had an ectopic about 2yrs ago, she was 34 at that point, she got married 2mths after the surgery. She lost a tube, and she had terrible scar tissue afterwards as well.

She had a really rough time emotionally, basically prepared herself for childlessness. I think she did get a fertility appointment privately, and I imagine she was told she had a low chance. It was really sad. She’s such a lovely girl.

We were just getting ready to announce our own pregnancy at about 16-17w, we were meeting the gang when I was 18w, and she announced that she had made it to 20w!!! We were so excited to find out she was pregnant. And she’s having an absolute BREEZE of a pregnancy 😂😂

Oh I just wanted to give you loads of hugs and smiles! Please be kind to yourself! I'm terribly scared of an ectopic myself, I had there mcs. I don't have a personal story to tell but I have heard loads of good stories from girls who managed to conceive and give birth with just one tube. It happens and it is not the end! ThanksThanksThanks

Thank you both for your positive stories, it's so hard to stay positive when life keeps batting you down :( I really hope this isn't the beginning of the end for us! Xx

A girl I worked with had an ectopic and a tube removed, they'd been through IVF and had quite a rough time. She seemed to think that was the end of the road for her and we sort of lost touch soon after that as she moved to a new job. About 18 months or 2 years later I heard that she was pregnant and not far off giving birth and I sent her a message to say I was really pleased to hear that. We've since met up and she told me that she went for IVF again and it worked on the first attempt.

I have had an ectopic and mc. It was awful and left me was just one tube. After the ectopic they investigated further and found I had endometriosis that they did their best to remove. 4 months later I was pregnant naturally and my dd is now 7. I bled until about 20 weeks and she was a bit early but is now the picture of health! I couldn't face trying again but life is good and there is hope. Good luck

I had a miscarriage and then an ectopic with a tube removed. I have a lot of adhesions and was told it's likely I would need IVF. Once we started trying again, I fell pregnant within 6 months, and have a lovely baby 😊

Thank you for sharing @summertime06

@armsandtheman thank you for sharing your story too, this gives me hope. Can I ask how they found out about your endo? The consultant said they could see some scarring outside of my uterus from the laparoscopy procedure and I'm worried it's endo related but I don't have any symptoms. Consultant couldn't say if the ectopic was related to the scarring. Xx

I've not had the triple heartache you have, but I lost my tube in an ectopic pregnancy. I've conceived twice since then in fairly short periods of etc, and both boys are now at primary school.

I had an ectopic 6 years ago, which resulted in an ovary and tube being removed. Then 1 MMC 3 years later. Finally last year our rainbow baby arrived.
The time between my MMC and next pregnancy were the lowest of my life, and I completely understand how hard it is to stay positive. I’m sorry I have no advice, I just wanted to let you know it can work out.

@SerenavanderWoodson @RainOrSun thank you so much for sharing, each positive story helps that little bit more so I appreciate it 😓 xx

They did a laparoscopy with dye to diagnose then scraped it off where it showed. It was done in one procedure under general anaesthetic. It's keyhole surgery so low risk and v little scarring. I was back in work after a few days

armsandtheman · 25/08/2019 17:51

I completely agree with serena. It was a heartbreaking time. It took me 4 years to be successfully pregnant and it was so hard
