I've just been looking at reassurance scans.

Basically Liverpool Women's Hospital offer one from 7 weeks for £55 but it's stated as a "non-diagnostic service."

I went on the Ultrasound Direct website (I've used them for my 1st pregnancy) and on their website is says to avoid non-diagnostic scans.

Does anyone know the difference between the 2?xx

I had a lot of non diagnostic scans- every 2 weeks under recurrent mc clinic. All very reassuring- heartbeat, growing well.
My 12 week diagnostic scan showed a 10mm nuchal fold, massive cystic hygroma and various other abnormalities. We ended up having to tfmr

I think it means a difference in the quality of the sonographer. Ultrasound direct tends to be more expensive as it mostly uses experienced sonographers who also work in hospitals.
