Hi all. Just after experiences please. I am 18+3 and am experiencing pretty much daily headaches. Sometimes they don't go at all, last week I had one for 4days. I remember having them with it dc1 and have been very stressed at work past 6weeks due to threat of redundancy. But last few days I have noticed my rings in my hands are really really tight. I can't take them off at all. I'm not due to see midwife now until end of October. I am currently on annual leave so hoping stress levels will drop. My blood pressure was OK at my last appointment 2 weeks ago. I have my 20week scan in 2 weeks.

So of it all I am worried about the risk of preeclampsia which I know can rear its head 20weeks+. Would the sonographer pick up any signs??

To be honest I wouldn't wait, I would call and book a midwife appointment now or just try and speak to one on the phone. It might be nothing to worry about but it's not worth the risk really.

I had pre eclampsia and had a weekly gp appt to monitor my blood pressure. As pp said call now and make an appt. good luck

Ring and get an appointment at your local maternity unit/antenatal clinic. There are other signs/symptoms of preeclampsia than just headaches and swollen fingers (which are quite common in pregnancy) but it’s best to get checked. Rather be safe than sorry!

OK I will do thanks. I know its daft but I am worried about the impact on work. Are you signed off with preeclampsia? It would probably be the worst possible timing for me. I am already conscious about taking any kind of time off. Not that it will stop me seeing mwife obviously!!

Thanks @fivefarthings I appreciate that there are more symptoms like protein in urine etc and I would bet the headaches are work related stress but of course I don't want to risk baby's health
