I haven't given birth yet, currently 33 weeks and just feeling pretty exhausted all the time.
I get little bursts of energy so I'll tidy up or tackle something small but then after 20 mins or so feel so tired and nauseous I just have to stop and sit down again.
Feeling a but useless and worried that it's only going to get even harder when baby comes 🤔
I know I should just roll with it, try not to focus on it too much and just go with the flow but cant seem to stop my head overthinking it all - anyone else feeling the same? Would be nice to know I'm not alone.

I'm feeling exactly the same.
Keep thinking if I have such little energy and am so tired now how on earth will I cope with the sleepless nights and a baby!
I'm 34 weeks so about the same stage as you!
Fingers crossed somebody comes along to reassure us but for now, at least you know you're not alone Smile

I feel the same, almost 33 weeks. I’m shattered.

lancslass17 · 15/08/2019 13:34

Have you had your iron levels checked? I was given some tablets made me feel like a new woman x

NewMama2Be · 15/08/2019 14:11

Yeah @lancslass17 at my last midwife appt around 4 weeks ago they took bloods and said theyd be in touch if my iron was low. I was almost hoping to hear from them as it would explain the tiredness but nothing. I'm back next week so will ask them to check again

It's nice to know I'm not alone @SRK16 @NervousBFP but sorry you're both feeling the struggle too.
So far today I've got up, had breakfast, cleared a shelf in a cupboard, lay down for 30 mins, made and ate lunch, now falling asleep on the couch!
I want to be one of those pregnant people who has all the energy to potter around, prepare, get stuff done... if only 😂

It’s worth chasing your blood test results, my midwife told me she would call if I was anemic but she didn’t.. I found out a couple of weeks later at a doctors appointment (by coincidence). I’m on iron tablets now but they haven’t made a difference yet as far as I can tell

Felipa · 15/08/2019 14:36

I feel exactly the same at 29 weeks. I had low iron and hoped that the tablets would help.with my energy levels.but they havent.

I have 3 other children to look after and I am exhausted.

I wish there was some magic tonic I could take to give me energy. I know that some mothers are exercising right up.until birth and I can't imagine doing that at all in the next couple of months.

I have a 4 week old and a 3 year old. I have more energy now than when I was pregnant.

mynameiscalypso · 15/08/2019 14:40

I think 32 - 34 weeks was the worst for me in terms of energy levels. Now 39 weeks and I feel absolutely fine - our and about every day, swimming a few times a week, shopping, trips to the tip, everything really. I have the odd nap but I think I would do that pregnant or not!

Greymoon2016 · 15/08/2019 18:39

Hello I'm only 24 weeks and I'm exhausted the whole time i am 37 not sure how much that effects things and I also have a thyroid issue but that's well medicated so who knows but I have so little energy I need to sleep alot I see my midwife tomorrow so will be asking for iron check 😔

Junobug · 15/08/2019 18:46

I promise, even with the sleepless nights, you will have more energy with a newborn than being pregnant. And you will be able to breath and roll over in bed, and pick something up off the floor.
If you're lucky, you'll get a burst of energy in the last few weeks of pregnancy. I hoovered my flat for 2 solid hours a week before having my first, mopped in labour with my second, and made a cake for the midwives with my 3rd. Hormones make you do crazy things.

PowerslidePanda · 15/08/2019 20:12

I also found newborn sleep deprivation easier to cope with than the last few weeks of pregnancy! They're different kinds of tiredness - sleepiness versus fatigue. Yes, I wanted to nap, but simple things like climbing the stairs or walking to the shops were suddenly much easier again!
