Sleephead or baby beanbag

Ladies what would you recommend out of the sleepyhead deluxe pods or a baby beanbag?

I don't like Moses baskets so I'm wanting something to put my newborn in next year when we're down stairs and not in there cot.

Iv head so many good things about sleepyheads but are they actually worth the money?

Loads of my friends and family have used the beanbags with little harness strap things

Any other ideas welcome, thank you!

Also, don't quote me on this, but I'm sure I read that the sleepyheads were used in NICU? I think they're the safest option if you want that sort of product

In my experience, if a baby won’t settle in a Moses basket, it isn’t because they don’t like a Moses basket it’s because they want to be in your arms. You can spend as much money as you like on gadgets, no one will replace you.

In view of that, I’d go with the safest option (ie a Moses basket/ travel cot) for downstairs sleeping and appreciate that baby would probably much rather sleep in your arms

I have the mother care Hyde crib for both upstairs and downstairs (low cost) for DD. I really wouldn't feel comfortable with anything like the snuzpod as she's not supervised downstairs if she's sleeping and I'm napping also. Advice is always a firm and flat surface with no obstructions on the sides and its based on a lot of research. It's there to guide though and is personal preference. I'd rate a snuzpod over a beanbag to answer your question.

My DD actually slept really well in her Moses basket, but she's quite an independent sleeper and was from birth. She's always slept in her cot or basket. She had to be in her cot in hospital under lights for first few days of her life so not sure if that got her used to sleeping on her own or not!

It's not just the sides which are an issue for the suffocating risk which as if you say you are supervising isn't an issue, but all SIDS advise say that babies need to sleep on firm
Surfaces which these are not

Sleepyhead themselves actually say they aren't safe to be used overnight (understand that you aren't suggesting that OP). They look great for napping during the day though!
