I had my 1 DD 6 years ago so can’t really remember much πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ what do you guys prefer to use or what seems to be the best for the bleeding after birth? Thank you 😊

I always used the mother care or boots ones, where I am they have different sizes depending on how bad it is after birth.
There great 😁

I used Boots! Would use them again Smile like a nice big cushion for my nethers Grin

A bit off topic but I would recommend those Andrex toilet wipes for afterwards. Apparently the Andrex ones actually break down just like toilet paper.

Another vote for boots! Lovely and soft and absorbent. Although they are very often out of stock in my quite small branch so I've bought 5 or 6 packs when I saw them.

newmomof1 · 14/08/2019 11:03

I used the ASDA own brand ones and thought they were fantastic!

Krisskrosskiss · 14/08/2019 11:04

I used cheap supermarket brand ones because they are really thick and it acts like a bit of a cushion for the bruising as well

Ellii · 14/08/2019 11:21

Thanks guys ☺️ Does anyone have a link for the boots ones please? Dreading the bleeding, worst part of it all πŸ˜‚

I used the mothercare ones last time and found them very soft. I’d heard good things about boots but they’d sold out when I went to buy them, so have bought the mothercare ones again.

I avoided the supermarket ones this time as I used the odd pack a few years back and found them a bit scratchy against my stitches.

newmomof1 · 14/08/2019 11:47

@Ellii the bleeding is definitely not the worst part, and with these massive super comfy pads you hardly even notice it (apart from when you sneeze)!

Another one for boots and mothercare here.

Last time I put them in the freezer - really soothing when it's hurting

Ellii · 14/08/2019 13:00

@newmomof1 I hate the bleeding haha, I find it to be the worst part. Did with my first one, not that it’s painful or anything just disgusting haha. I’ll have a look and see if I can find any boots pads ☺️

@Ellii I could deal with the bleeding, I found it less grim than a normal period, haha!

Contractions were the worst for me - I had 3 days slow labour 😩

Good luck!

These big thick Boots ones, and they're regularly on 3 for 2.

fizzpopbang · 14/08/2019 13:15

I used always discreet pants last time so I've stocked up on free tena pant samples for this one, the noir sample comes with a voucher for a free pack off the shelf up 2 8Β£.

Ellii · 14/08/2019 14:38

@fizzpopbang are the discreet pants good? Would you say you have to change them more than pads or?

Also thank you guys, so helpful ☺️

I think I just went with the Always nighttime pads. I had bought maternity pads, but they were too bulky, so I didn't use them.

Also, to the PP who said A bit off topic but I would recommend those Andrex toilet wipes for afterwards. Apparently the Andrex ones actually break down just like toilet paper.
They definitely don't break down. Even some of the 'luxury' toilet papers don't break down very well. My bff works in drainage and says that none of the various 'flushable' wipes are actually fit to be flushed.
