Tiger balm or heat rub when pregnant

Hi guys, I'm 32 weeks along.. I have so much back pain in my mid-upper back (where you would fasten your bra) I think from the strain of my breasts.

Pain is so bad I'm struggling to move in bed or sit at my desk at work. Usually relaxes the more I walk around but obviously I can't be walking all day.

Does anyone have any effective pain relief? I haven't tried a hot water bottle yet but DH is going to get one. He suggested tiger balm? Has anyone ever used this, or a deep heat type of thing while pregnant?

I will be asking a pharmacist tonight after work but thought I'd ask on here in case anyone has any other ideas or advice

TIA xxx

Deep heat and tiger balm are not allowed sadly, according to the labels. Its the camphor I think. But you could risk it.
I’ve been seeing a chiropractor though, I totally recommend that as I’ve had no pain (35+5).

I suffer from back pain anyway on a daily basis, and baby has exacerbated it. I bought a TENS machine and honestly it is the best thing I have ever bought. I use it when the pain gets bad and it is like a little burst of magic in a machine! I intend to use it in labour too.

@Megan2018 ooo I'll give them a miss then and stick to a warm hot water bottle, I'll look into a chiropractor. I've had the back pain since about 20 weeks but only now and again, where as now it's near constantly aching

I think the Deep Freeze is ok though? That might help.

I wanted something for hip and lower back pain. Spoke to midwife who said she could recommend deep heat or tiger balm as she could say for sure they were safe. However I brought deep freeze from a supermarket and that did state on there that was safe to use during pregnancy.

Sorry I meant couldn't recommend.
