For those of you that work in healthcare - when pregnant what type of illnesses/infections do we need to avoid. I always thought chickenpox was one but according to nhs website that’s only if you have never had chicken pox your self as a child and things like slapped cheek virus..... what else?

I work as a nurse. Only ones I can think of off the top of my head is things like flu and shingles.

You can't catch shingles but can catch chicken pox from it if you've never had it before, avoid anyone with flu even if you've had the vaccine, c-diff, MRSA should be avoided as much as possible too

I'm a support worker. My midwife told me to get the flu vaccine as soon as I can, even out of peak season. She also told me to avoid any form of D&V (c-diff, noro virus ect) although that is easier said in done in this industry.

I had my risk assessment at work (hospital nurse) and she said I didn't need to avoid anything apart from chicken pox and mumps!!! I ended up we norovirus at 14 weeks! No sympathy and still states no need to avoid mrsa or any other x
