What is pregnancy nausea like?

I dont usually get nauseas, but when I do it's nothing like this. It's hard to describe and I cant pin point the difference. It's like its dragging on and on and making me feel a bit hot too. I've been getting it for the past 2 nights and it just clicked so I thought I'd ask the more experienced! I've not really had any other pregnancy symptoms other than a weird period. I got my period rather early last month (6 days) which was unusual. It wasnt as heavy, but still resembled a period. It usually starts on the 5th pretty much every month and will last 6 days. Last month, it started fine on the 5th, and then again on the 30th?? Anyway, any answers will be appreciated!

I described mine as a 6 week long hangover!

I was on cyclizine before being pregnant for a different medical issue - finding the side effects (mainly tiredness) worse than before though.

I found its more like having a stomach bug, not knowing if I feel sick because Im hungry or not. I tried everything to get rid of the sickness - ginger, peppermints, strawberries, flat lemonade. I ended up in hospital with my sickness mind so it is quite severe.
Every pregnancy is different, every woman is different. Make sure you're drinking plenty -Lucozade sport if you're not eating much. If you're struggling to keep water down go and get checked out. Most reassuring part for me - its often the sign of a very healthy baby.

And it doesn't always go away - Im 26 weeks and still throwing up. Your normal can be completely different to others so don't panic or let people make you feel like you're making it up if you're still poorly after 12 weeks xx

I just remembered that travel sickness bands work for some people. I am going to order some I think!

Sounds familiar, TBH. I didn't actually throw up much, but I had almost unrelenting deep nausea from about 5 weeks to about 13 weeks. It got worse during week 5 of pregnancy, & then got gradually better from about week 10 until it was gone by about 13.5 weeks. Honestly it felt like the nausea went all the way down to my knees! It was the most dreadful thing & as I wasn't actually being sick much there was nothing the doctor could do.

Mine was also like a hangover - a constant hangover that lasted for months!

Hi ladies! Thanks for all your replies, I completely forgot I created the thread! I can say what i was feeling was like travel sickness. I've been getting it on and off ever since, but don't seem to have any pregnancy symptoms. My boobs are not tender at all, just a bit swollen. I might take a test anyway, but who knows. Sorry for all mums suffering!
