I cannot keep anything down. Stomach cramps are horrendous. Cannot get off the toilet only to bed. I'm so dizzy and sweaty and feel awful. It could be a bug or hormones I'm not sure. Shall I phone the epu or ride it out? I'm worried about dehydration.

I had a couple of horrible stomach bugs and did phone my midwife with one as I was also really worried that I couldn't keep any liquid down. When was the last time you had a wee and what was the colour like? I'm sure that the advice I read said that 12+ hours without urinating or very dark urine were signs you may need to seek advice. Ring your midwife if you are worried though as they are there to help and in the meantime try to sip tiny amounts of water constantly. It's miserable and I hope you feel better soon Thanks

If you can’t keep anything down, maybe phone epu. I had d&v at around 12 weeks and again and 23 weeks. Both times I rang and was told as long as I’m able to keep things down and don’t have a high fever to just drink plenty of water and get lots of rest. I think it’s only a worry if you can’t retain fluids so definitely ring if you can’t even keep water down. It’s not pleasant, I hope you feel better soon!

Ring your midwife or GP. EPAU is not the appropriate contact in this situation. They wouldn't offer you an appointment for d&v.

I didn't realise epu didn't deal with other ailments during early pregnancy.

Still feeling grim but will try to sleep it off.

Thank you all

EPAU is used to determine the viability of a pregnancy. It's predominantly for women experiencing pain and bleeding or with history of miscarriages. They don't deal with 'ailments', that's what your is for GP.
Please speak with your GP if you are concerned about hyperemesis.
