Am I pregnant?!

Hello everyone.

I am looking for some advice. I'm due my AF on Sunday, I usually have a 34 day cycle. I've been feeling a bit odd for a while but since yesterday I've really felt like AF is coming, I've had cramping - which I don't usually get until my period is here, slight back ache and occasional shooting pains on the left side of of cervix/uterus. Anyway, like I said I'm not due on until Sunday, these pains have been going on all yesterday and all today! I keep on going to the loo thinking AF had arrived but there's nothing. Also feeling a little nauseous and I was lying down earlier and could taste blood in my mouth.
I've taken some test but been BFN for now but it still be too early. Last time I had intercourse - TMI sorry! was last Monday night so I could only be 8/9 DPO so could this still be too early for a HPT to pick up?

Hope you get the BFP you're after @SamanthaC1990. We're currently TTC number 2, only on second cycle and I'm in that dreaded two week window. I can't test until next weekend but keep feeling bloated, crampy etc. Like you I just want to know one way or the other! Last time with DC1 we conceived literally within days of me stopping contraception so didn't even have a period so I'm finding it more frustrating this time around! Fingers crossed we all have answers soon x

Hello everyone. I really don't know how to use this. Usually I find posts that I have googled and mumsnet comes up. Sp I'm sorry if this is something that has been posted already or is in the wrong place. Cpuld someone please advise me, I guess I'm probably looking for reassurance. I'm trying to get pregnant and right after my period me and my husband started to try.

We tried regulalry and I got some symptoms however these were similar to pms. Though my boobs were extremly painful, and I'm been feeling nauseous. Now a pregnancy test (clear blue) showed a negative. I did it about 4 days before my period.

Heartbroken I convinced myself that the test was early and not done on the fort wee nor laid flat, I'm stupid at following instructions.

My period should have started on the 11th however it's the 9th and started today. Its light and pink but that's how my period does start. I decided I was not pregnant until I started reading that implantation bleeding can occur before or on the date of the period, this has given me a glimmer of hope. Checking my bleeding, it's a bright red, but I cant see any pink. Not sure what pink blood would look like.

I'm hoping this is an implantation bleed because I am starting to get depressed. Im 37 and have been married a year. I really want a baby as I've spent far too long alone and want to feel the warm cuddle of tiny weeny.

I think I know the answers to my questions but just posted here.

Hello! I hope, if you're wanting to be pregnant, you are. If you would like to check you could by the cheap pregnancy tests. I would have done this if I had not got my period. I hope you get what you're looking for.

@Spotify82 I think I might pick up a pregnancy test this weekend and see the result. But it’s hard because I don’t have regular periods every month. I haven’t had a period for 6 weeks because of my contraceptive patch. So I don’t know when I am due my next period, so therefore don’t know when is best to test.

So I've just read up about First response tests... Apparently there is a really sensitive one called early something and a rapid 45 second one... But apparently the 45 second one is far less sensitive! So IF I am pregnant this may explain the negative?! So now I'm even more confused! I really hope we all get some BFPs this weekend all xxx

Thanks for letting us know! Will have a look today in the shops. Maybe try a test again this weekend then wait a week and try again? It might just be that your hcg levels aren’t high enough yet maybe? Xx

Another bfn from the first response rapid 45 second test with fmu.. Im actually annoying myself now, I have no patience! I definitely can't see how I can be pregnant after all these negatives.. But the period pains are driving me mad! Xx

So you know I've been saying for days that I thought I could see a very faint kind of line on the tests well the same thing happened today but perhaps a little bit more so so I took the test apart... 😂🙈 Is this positive?! You can see the indent from where the rest of the + is meant to be but there's a very faint line downwards unless my eyes are deceiving me!

Me too but wasn't sure if I just had 'line eyes' 😂🙈 I'm going to test again on Monday when hopefully the line should be stronger.
I was so convinced AF was coming because I'd been having cramps since Tuesday and kept having to dash to the loo as I thought it had arrived. I'm going to wait until I get a clear positive though before I get too excited. 🙈

Blue dye tests are known for being less accurate than pink dye tests, ESPECIALLY when you break open the case. People have used a glass of water to test and got the really faint blue line in past posts.

Invest in some pink dye tests for early testing :) I swear by FRER myself.

Still no period... Still having period pains but still no bfp.. Ive given up hope on the bpf now, its been so long now I would of had a positive if I was pregnant. So just waiting for af now xxx

Same as me, I’m expecting mine will arrive today. Fingers crossed it’s not the case for you and the tests are being pesky, hopefully a BFP soon!

Tests are invalidated if the cassettes are opened as the air gets to the sensitive test strip and can dry it out making an evaporation line appear - and blue dye tests are far more susceptible to evaporate lines than pink ones. And digital tests are far less sensitive than others (can need up to 8.5 times more hormone to trigger a positive result than First Response Early Results (FRER) tests.

Really it’s best to wait until your period is due and then use a pink dye test plus first wee of the day then trying to second guess whether you can see a hint of a blue line on a test up to a week before your period is due (as you read about on this forum many times a week).

Good luck to all those of you wanting to be pregnant and waiting for results at the moment - from someone close to the end of their own pregnancy I know what it’s like as my husband and I tried for over 4 years and ended up needing 2 cycles of IVF to conceive our much wanted twins.

Congratulations Samantha, I took a test today and it came back negative. I spoke to my doctor as needed more steroids for my illness and mentioned it. But she said that I might be pregnant as that might be what has sent me into a flare and made me really ill. I’m going to leave it a week or two and test again and see what it says. It’s just a waiting game now, but I’m far too impatient 😂 x

I am in the same boat as some of you ladies. Periods are so irregular it's impossible to plan or know whether I am ovulating as my period might just be really late.
I am on day 46 and did a clearblue test last weekend which was negative. Felt really nauseous, had a lot of cramps etc but convinced my period is just really late

I brought some cheap tests from Waitrose pharmacy it was two for £7 and it said negative and still no period so frustrating

@carmellax thank you! You should buy a first response, I used about 6 £3.50 Morrison’s tests and 5 cheap eBay tests x
