Hi, wondering if anyone has experienced this? I had terrible SPD for the last bit of my pregnancy which disappeared pretty quickly after the birth.
My DS is 6.5 months and all of a sudden the pain is back! It's not as bad as it was but very sore around my hips, very distinctly the same pain.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe hormonal changes could be to blame? Baby is EBF but we started solids early as advised by the paediatrician due to his reflux. He took to food like a duck to water and is now an absolute gannet, can chew and swallow finger foods like no tomorrow. He's definitely eating a lot more (and spitting out a lot less) than other babies I know of the same age and taking less milk from me. He's also stopped most of his night feeds apart from the odd one. I feel quite grumpy and hormonal and wouldn't be surprised if my periods restart soon.
Has anyone found that they got SPD pain again when they started BF less/hormones went back to normal?

My son is 7 months old now and I still have SPD pain especially around the tailbone. I did have it quite severe and was on crutches from 6 months but I was assured it would go away. I’m back to going to physio and apparently some people don’t go back to normal which I really hope isn’t true! Hopefully it is a hormone change and you’re back to normal soon. It’s really not a pleasant thing to have

Following because I developed SPD at 6mths, and it’s getting more pronounced. Terrified it won’t disappear at birth!!

@devilishlygood I wouldn’t worry as I think it does go away usually for most people. I got it at 12 weeks which is really uncommon and I think the length of time I had it is what has caused lasting damage. Hope you’re going ok with it. Get yourself a good pregnancy pillow and a body tuba-grip. Helps a wee bit x

Is it possible that you are pregnant?
