Should I mention job stress to midwife

Just after opinions really. I found out a few weeks ago that my job has gone in a company redesign so I am at risk for redundancy. I am 16 weeks pregnant. I am currently having to apply for jobs in a pool but if I am not successful I will be made redundant. I will find out in a couple of weeks. I am due to see midwife in the next few days, the first time since I was booked in. Should I mention this and that I have been bit stressed? I haven't been sleeping well, and have obviously been upset. Financially redundancy would be extremely difficult for me and DH as I am the higher earner.
I am not plotting to be signed off or anything like that, I am not going to ask for that unless there's medical indications of risk e.g. High blood pressure. My DH thinks I should tell her to be safe.

You can tell her,I seriously doubt she'll be worried though, it's very unlikely to affect your pregnancy. Sorry you're going through this stress, same thing happened to me. Fingers crossed if you are made redundant you'll get a decent payout? You could also look at contracting in the short term? Additionally take a look at DHs employer's shared paternity policy as this may help.

Yes definitely tell your midwife. If nothing else it will go on your record and provide possible reasoning for any blood pressure anomalies.

Yeah I was of the same opinion tbh. I don't want to be seen to be making a fuss. Thanks for the tips

You are protected from redundancy whilst on maternity leave. If you go before they make t official then they have to offer you another job at the same level.
