I hate this, I sound so thick 🤦🏻‍♀️

Not felt baby move since this morning 8.30 am, iv rang the hospital and midwife told me to lay down for an hour, its been 35 mins and I think iv felt him a couple of times, so is this ok or do I need to still go get him checked?

If you are over 24 weeks you need to go and get checked I'd you are unhappy with movements.

Are you happy he is moving normally now? If so, just carry on as you are and keep an eye on it. If not, call back. If you aren't happy in any way, go in.

It's about patterns of movement and what your baby's individual pattern is. When I was pregnant, I felt her multiple times an hour from 28 weeks on. It would have been a red flag if I went for six hours or so without feeling her or only feeling her once or twice (that did happen once and I went straight in and she was just in a weird position and moved back to normal when midwife started palpating my bump). But some people's babies move much less and that's normal for them.

@Celebelly he normally moves at least 3 times a day and then throughout the night when I'm asleep (he is always moving when I wake up to pee 😁)

I was shocked when I rang midwife and she didn't tell me to go in, really put doubt in my mind that I was over reacting! He has moved a bit more but if I don't feel him move a lot over the next couple of hours I will just go in without ringing!

Thanks both 💖

I had a couple of quiet days last week, where my baby was not moving as much or as with as much force as usual. I wasnt sure whether to go in as I was still feeling some movements (just not to the same amount as I'm used to) and I decided not to, and by the weekend he/she was back to moving frequently and kicking me with gusto in the ribs again!
I'm not saying not to worry, as I would hate to advise you not to go in if there is a genuine reason for concern, just saying as PP mentioned, sometimes they can be in a different position to normal and movements might differ a bit.
But the general advise is to go and get checked over if you're not happy.
Good luck!

Just go get checked it isn't worth the risk x

Pastaalldaylong · 05/08/2019 18:39

I agree. Just go in. If you're anything like me, you'll worry about it. I went in earlier this week even though I wasnt 100% sure if I'd imagined not feeling baby move. But itll put your mind at rest. That's what they're there for.

@Angelinthenightx thanks 😁

@xJune88 & @Pastaalldaylong he has been moving quite a bit the last couple of hours! I think he must of got himself stuck in a funny position. I have a growth scan tomorrow though so will mention it there ☺️ thanks guys xxx
