Pregnant after IMSI at 9 months

Just found out I'm pregnant naturally after having ivf with imsi for first baby who is just 9 months. I'm in shock and also scared but feel guilty for feeling like that, especially after the struggle that we went through. Anyone else with such a short gap between babies?!

Congratulations! 18 months is a pretty standard age gap for a lot of people. I imagine getting pregnant naturally was a shock! Enjoy Smile

Lots of people. It's hard work but lovely, I wanted babies close together as I didn't want to get out of the baby phase and then to back.

A double buggy was a must!

Congratulations

This happened to a friend of mine. She absolutely loves how close in age her kids are now but it was quite hard when they were little.

We had DS through IVF with ICSI last year and also have just got naturally pregnant! Unfortunately, the pregnancy isn’t viable.
But best of luck- it’s nice to have siblings so close in age!

jojo sorry to hear this. I'm not getting hopes up just yet because of previous losses and

I had icsi, successful after the 3rd round. Fell pregnant naturally when DS was 4 months old. They are 2 & 3 now and the small age gap is awesome x

Great to hear that grunt. That must have been a shock for you as well

Gruntvsgunt, that’s amazing! How hard was it looking after two tiny ones?

Tiredmum100 · 01/08/2019 17:23

My sister is 18 months older than myself. We are very close despite living 500 Miles away from each other. We had our moments but its great having a small gap. There's 22 months between my dc and they are the best of friends!

Gruntvsgunt · 01/08/2019 18:12

It was indeed a shock, I was still breast feeding, hadn’t had my first post baby period yet so was 11 weeks when I found out. The first 6 months was pretty exhausting but it’s pretty good now, they are into the same things so activities are easy to pick, and most the time they enjoy playing together. I was just so glad to not have to have another go at ICSI.
Congratulations x

Wow grunt you must have been so shocked and a bit scared too to find out at 11 weeks! But so lovely at the same time.

I think I'm also a bit unsure as all other baby mum friends and nct lot keep banging on about how they want a gap, can't wait to go back to work (which I'm not doing as work from home) and how they can't think of anything worse then being pregnant again so soon and deep down I knew I was before I did the test so have been sitting there taking it in feeling crap and very sensitive but think hopefully once we know things are ok I can feel excited and also talk to friends who are not like that!

After infertility natural pregnancy hit me like a bus. I think what you are feeling is very normal and ok. On a positive note, I found that the pregnancy felt a lot easier, perhaps because I was more relaxed , perhaps just so busy but I definitely was less panicky than with the first xx

Thank you for the reassurance, really appreciate it x
