Did anyone 'enjoy' labour?

I have heard so many horror stories about labour. I just wondered if anyone had any positives experiences?

I am 12 weeks today with 1st baby and must admit it feels me with dread and anxiety.

Is the pain as unbearable as they say????

@Ghost88 definitely consider the positive birth company and their online hypnobirthing pack. It's fantastic for preparing you for a positive labour and gives you access to a fb group where people post their positive birth stories. I have loved reading them and at 39 weeks pregnant I am now looking forward to giving birth. Good luck and congratulations xxx

I quite enjoyed it both times. Dc1 was home water birth and was just lovely, DC2 was hospital birth and lovely until the actual crowning and pushing out- that was less lovely due to not being in the water.
The actual labours were fine, I saw each contraction as productive, with a 'one less to get through' attitude.

I enjoyed my first birth and labour. Tiring but massively empowering and truly amazing. I had no pain relief.

My second one was induced so it was more of a stress being in hospital and wishing it would get going. I had an epidural for the last few hours and tbh, I'd do without it next time.
