Looking for any help on this. I'm only 4 weeks 5 days but my morning sickness has hit like a ton of bricks and really struggling. Its terrible all morning and slows a bit by lunch and then awful again in the evening. Any ideas to help calm it down?

It’s a tough one. Are you physically sick or ‘just’ nauseous? I say ‘just’ as I know how debilitating just nausea can be. I’m on anti-sickness meds that are helping the vomiting but nothing for the nausea & it’s flooding me. Second pregnancy and identical to my first sadly Sad

Try all the usual things - ginger, mint, nibbling salt crackers all day or plain biscuits.. eating little & often etc.

If it’s really bad, frankly none of that will ever work. Consider chatting to your doctor.

The one random thing that takes a teeny edge off the nausea for 2 minutes for me is sour sweets. Or just fruit sweets. Fruitella, Chewitts, sour lemon boiled sweets. I munch them constantly if I need to go in the car & it does help me not feel immediately like vomiting!

Eat whatever you can whenever you can.

Small sips of water constantly. Failing that, ice lollies and watermelon.

Having something in your stomach makes it easier to vomit and you'll not be bringing up bile, but consider what is worse to bring back up (chilli and fish were most unpleasant for me!)

Some people find having a small snack by their bed for before you even sit up helps (a cracker or banana).

Sea sickness wrist bands helped me, as did sour sweets (although sooner or later tangfastics didn't cut it and I just ate lemon slices)

Finally, if it's really bad definitely see your doctor. They can help. Yes it's an expected part of pregnancy but that doesn't mean you have to put up and shut up.

Aww thank you. I haven't vomited yet as I'm worried if I do the flood gates will open and I wont be able to stop. I've been eating oatcakes and walkers baked plain crisps. I'm trying to eat but feel like I'm gonna be sick as soon as I do.
I dont dare ask for meds as my friend did for nausea and her baby ended up with a defect because of it which was one of the risks. I'm gonna hold out as long as I can. I found chewing gum helped a bit today.
I'm hoping it doesn't last up to 12 weeks.
