Feeling better as 12 weeks

It's nuts - all we want is pregnancy symptoms, then when we get them we moan, and then when they go again we worry!

From about 6 weeks until 11 weeks I felt really nauseous all the time and very tired. Only sick once but struggled to eat and drink for most of it. Sore boobs was about the only other sign. Now I've got to 12 weeks most of this has gone although I've still got food aversions - generally sweet stuff, ice-cream, chocolate, and all hot drinks are a no as are most vegetables, but I'm okay to eat again now (spicier the better) and sometimes just feel a bit ill afterwards. I have my 12 week scan next week at 13 weeks but I've had a scan at 10+4 and everything was fine.

I've read that this is normal about now I think? But it doesn't stop me worrying! Especially now we've told everyone.

Anyone else find symptoms up and left around this point?

Hi!

Sorry to quickly jump in (and out) - we got a midwife to explain why this often happens in a video - which you can see here around the 30 second mark.

Hope it helps!

I had horrendous nausea from week 5 to week 12! I barely ate anything other than toast for breakfast and only drank sparkling water. I lost just under a stone!

Since the nausea passed, I'm eating fine, (although I've only put 4lbs back on) and can't even look at a bottle of sparkling water!

Lucky you if you now have passed the awful nausea stage. every woman and pregnancy is different. I suffered terribly with sickness and nausea from 6 weeks through to 15 weeks. still have the off iffy day. but I am taking anti sickness now and all seems well :)

wouldn't worry too much - sickness and nausea can start to fade from any time from about 12 weeks on average but some women it lasts longer. there are some really unlucky women who suffer all the way through.

Im 12 weeks tommorow i had a good few weeks of nausea all day which wasn't nice, that has wore off but i still feel so tired an drained its like no other feeling, im hoping it wears off soon.
But yeah my midwife told me a lot of symptoms fade around week 10, i dont have sore boobs anymore or a sour taste in my mouth.
And i had an early scan at 10.4 an everything was fine my 12 weeks scan is this Friday.

Sorry to jump on here but I just wanted to say I'm so glad to see a post like this! I'm only 7weeks +2 and for the last week I've really suffered with nausea and hardly been able to eat anything but to hear that it should get better by 12 weeks is very reassuring!
