What line of work do you do?

I ended up having a week off work, but with the way my days off work out, it was 2 weeks off in total. Not long after that when I went back, I ended up in so much pain that my pelvis went into a spasm. I decided to go to the Dr and got a line for 3 weeks which took me to my annual leave. So basically I have been off from 2nd June and I'm not due until next week. Its been such a loooooooong time off, but I couldn't physically be at work. I was taken of heavy duties anyway, but still ended up in tears etc. Not worth it at the end of the day.
Are you having any physio input etc?

Find yourself a chiropractor ASAP. And get a support belt. Both will help. Sitting around for the rest of your pregnancy will drive you mad and won't be good for you.

That is also what I do. You need to get yourself onto a website called the pelvic partnership and find yourself a therapist who can do manual therapy. I found NHS physio bloody useless. No help at all. Went to manual therapist twice and made such a difference. Cost me about 50/60 quid but worth every penny.
Remember, pgp IS TREATABLE. It just never gets taken seriously.

Mine doesn't sound anywhere near as bad as yours but I've been able to keep up exercising on a cross trainer because it's not weight bearing and you basically just stay in the same position.

HelloSunshine that's interesting you say that, I'll have to try and find a good osteopath or chiropractor. I tried physio and it did nothing for me.

And get some elbow crutches - don't wait to be given them. They did mean I could walk to my car/ get around the house for a bit longer. You walk up to and not past the crutches so they go in front of you, like you're hunched over.

And yes, I second and triple everything people have said about the pelvic partnership. Lots of tips on there about how to manage it.

I was signed off from 30 weeks. You have my sympathies. Do what you can to get it sorted before birth. I'd love to go to an osteopath now (I'm 4 and a bit months pp) but have no childcare while they're open now. I feel so so much better (walked out of hospital without crutches after being on them for 13 weeks), but can get a bit twingy still.

Physicskate - we take kids with us to osteo or chiro appointments. Chiro is always only 15 minutes and for osteo book the shorter sessions. Give them a toy or whatever and hope for the best! :)

I think it would stress me out!! Worrying if she was going to kick off...
