Hi guys!

Me and my Husband are so excited! We have just been for a gender scan at 16+2 weeks. This is our first baby! We know what we are having, but it took a while as the baby had its legs crossed, went upside down and in all sorts of positions. The sonographer said to go outside, select my photos and come back and just as she said that she said ooh! The baby moved and she just managed to find out! Would anyone like to have a guess before I say what the gender is?!

The “potty shot” showed a burger shaped piece which is why I said girl

However the way the writing is covered up, it really did look like boy

Glad I went with what I could see Grin

I worried about how the scribble would give it away with girl being a longer word but also boy having the point up for the letter b and the curl down for the letter y (sorry, I don't know the correct term or if there is even one!) so I scribbled a blob! Hehe!

Er no op it was the lack of penis that “gave it away”.

See I agree, but I am in a private group on Facebook and put the same photos on but out of about 12 guesses only two guessed girl!

Wonder why, oh and congratulation . I having a surprise again this time because I have more than one of each sex already .

Congratulations to you. At one time I always said I would have a surprise but then before trying for a baby I said I would want to find out. My Husband has always said that he would like to know so we went for it. I can never truly understand all the detail on a scan though, just the basic head, body, arms and legs, but I find it fascinating that they could see from that picture- if it wasn't for the words by her bits I wouldn't even know where I was looking without really studying! Hehe! As soon as I know where to look I am ok (obviously between the legs but sometimes at these different angles it's hard to know where that is on a scan if you haven't seen many- I am a complete novice to all these things and when people have shown me their photos I can't ever tell!) All the very best for your pregnancy.
