How many outfits do you need in each size ?

Currently 11 weeks and gathering bits here and there but i have no idea how much I'll need in each size or what sizes so far ive got a few bits in tiny baby size all the way through to 3/6 months but not sure if i need more/less. Is it ok to put them in outfits once there about 3 months ie comfy joggers and a t shirt ? Baby is due in February so i want them wrapped up warm !!

20 is a lot! We had three babygrows, three vests, one outfit and a cardigan .

Only sleepsuits with built in scratch mitts. I've also found the long sleeved vests with mitts (from m and s but probably elsewhere too) very handy.

I was told I was having a fairly big baby but she arrived under 7 lbs. queue my dh making a mad dash to get more tiny baby size. She was in tiny baby for 2-3 weeks. Newborn for a further 4 weeks. By 3 months she was in a mix of 0-3 and 3-6. She's currently 4 months and now only fits into next 3-6 babygrows (next seems to run big). But 3-6 'outfits' are fine for her still. She's just gone through a huge growth spurt in the last week or so though... not sure how much longer she'll be in the 3-6 months. Good thing I didn't buy much in this size!!

We bought/were bought a lot of newborn and 0-3, maybe a total of 10 babygrows in each. However DS arrived at 5lb8oz, 2 weeks early, so my in-laws raided Nutmeg at Morrisons and got us about 10 Tiny Baby outfits. He was in those for about 5 weeks, spent a while in 0-3 and 3-6 but barely any time in 6-9, maybe a month. He is 8.5 months and wears 9-12 now as he's nearly quadruple his birth weight. I would buy as the baby grows!

Also, I only really put him in trousers and a top or dungarees starting at 3-6 months.
