These were just stomach crumps right

Sad Last night I had such a bad stomachache, I am 20weeks pregnant. Stomach felt like burning and then pain all over, I had to run to the toilet on the middle of the night and this morning. I took paracetamol last night, I couldn't sleep of the pain. I also felt a bit sick but I wasn't sick. So normally, as DH suggests, I would think "stomach bug"

But because I am pregnant I am a bit worried because the organs and everything else seems to be in the same area and I worry maybe the pain was something bad with baby.

Just being paranoid aren't I? No bleeding, no pain this morning and stomach still feels delicate.

Hoping to feel baby move but it is very sporadic still.

I guess if someone could reassure me 😭

PS: I am almost sure it is a bug which is why I am not asking or contacting GP or midwives for medical advice, just 90% sure it is paranoia but nobody to chat to

Thanks ❤️

A bug can still harm the baby. Contact the mw

Trying to ring now but they are engaged. My midwifery team is so hard to get hold off Sad

Can you go to your GP or to maternity unit? I would be taking some advise as soon as possible. Hope you feel better soon

cloudyinjune · 16/07/2019 09:06

All I can do after 9 is leave a message for the midwives.
From NHS advice there isn't need to contact unless specific symptoms I don't have though so just calling with no reason

Contacting your midwife or GP for any concerns is always the right thing to do - however, just for some reassurance while you wait to get through, I had bugs in both pregnancies and was told that unless it was over 24 hours of not keeping anything down/in - the baby would take all the good stuff and be absolutely fine.

cloudyinjune · 16/07/2019 09:09

Ok left a message for the midwife to ring back but I am keeping my water and breakfast down and no pain there
Baby was moving too so I am sure it is all ok now anyway.

No because NHS asks you stay at home with a bug and ring instead, I am not about to give my bug to others!

Thank you all for your advice!
All sorted now.
I spoke to the Midwife Unit on the phone and they reassured my it is all ok now (in my case, do not take this as medical advice for you!)
But you were absolutely right to say to ring because now I am relieved!

Thank you all ❤️

Glad to know it's all sorted, it's been 6 years since I was pregnant but we were always asked to ring GP if mid wife was not accessible. I was in London and mid wives are busier than GPs here.
