Hello, I'm hoping I've posted in the correct place 🙈 I'm after some advice please.
Me and my partner have been trying for a baby for over a year, he has had a fertility test and everything came back normal 😊
I have regular periods between 25 days and 27 days that last for around 5 days.
This month I am now on cycle day 32 and I have had no period. I have done 2 pregnancy tests and they have both come back negative 😔 what should I do now?
Thank you x

Hello, trying for a baby can be so frustrating at the best of times and then our bodies do this to us! It may be that you ovulated late, are you tracking ovulation? Or I think I read somewhere that some months we can just miss a period for no reason. I hope you get some good news soon 🤞🏼

I hope you get some good news soon. Random question, but what test did you use? The FRER are meant to be the best, that's what I used for my positives which were on day before period was due... Clear Blue came back negative!

This month I got to day 36 and my period has finally come. Its randomly just really late, usually they are like clockwork so no idea why this has happened.

I'd say wait a few more days and if still nothing try another test.

There can be lots of reasons for a delayed period the most common of which is delayed or missed ovulation - and this can be affected by anything from illness, unexpected stress to long haul or unusual travel. So, if you’ve had a unusual month for any of those reasons, that could explain it.

Do you follow you expected ovulation date through using opk’s, checking cervical mucous or recording your basal body temperature? If so, when do you think you were due to ovulate?

Unfortunately, all you can do is wait a few days more and test again. GP’s won’t look into late or missing periods until you’ve missed at least 2 in most areas, and even then, it will probably just be a blood test to check general hormone levels and sending you away to wait it out unless something shows up as obviously abnormal (which it often doesn’t)!!

Might take longer to show up. Mine usually do. I had nausea and increased tiredness for weeks this time before getting a positive result.
