So I'm only six weeks, I am eating a lot more than I usually would probably three extra small meals and lots of snacks cause I can't stop feeling hungry. No sickness or anything and I try drinking water but my stomach roars at me! Haha so I eat.. anyway I have probably tripled my Dailey intake of food and if anything I have lost one or two pounds? Any advice i am only six weeks :/

Um yes. Being pregnant seems to trigger some consume tons of carbs and make yourself fat gene.

It does ease after first trimester. At least it did for me. Try to keep a lid on it by eating healthy snacks. Seeded brown toast, fruits and ice lollies have been my saviours and entering the last few weeks not too bad although obviously have put on some excess weight 😂.

Oh and start eating stuff that keeps you regular now as it’s horrible when the constipation hits!

I was like this until Monday (8+2) when I totally changed and the sickness kicked in.

I would boil eggs and keep them in the fridge, packs of ham etc which were easy yo grab. I am on SW so still trying to follow that!

Eat lots of protein and fibre foods - the fill you up for longer, and as PP said, first trimester constipation is no joke!

Karigan195 · 10/07/2019 10:24

Yeah a salad box isn’t going to cut it 😂.

Your body is working overtime right now, why most are so exhausted in the first trimester. Listen to your body, food is fuel

I got AWFUL sickness if i didnt eat every 2 hours so waking up in the morning i couldnt move for how bad i was. I could only stomach toast d was starving 24/7 so was going through a loaf of bread every few days. 15 weeks now and been able to eat normal stuff for a few weeks a d definatly not as hungry although if i go too long i do get hunger sick but thats rarely.

Singlenotsingle · 10/07/2019 10:39

Absolutely normal. I used to eat dinner then want another one.

Triskaidekaphilia · 10/07/2019 12:09

Fron 6 weeks onwards I needed a snack every hour or I would get really dizzy and sick. I was able to control the sickness pretty well by stuffing my face! Since you're losing weight I would say your body needs it so just go with it. I'm back to being hungry all the time now I'm in the third trimester but withour the nausea I can put up with it for slightly longer at least!

Karigan195 · 10/07/2019 14:16

Unless it’s suggested by medical staff it’s probably not advisable to be losing weight.

Sometimes you can’t help it with morning sickness but your body is going to need it’s reserves.

I vividly remember one day at 6 weeks, the only time I wasn't hungry was when I was literally eating. I'm not exaggerating, unless there was food in my mouth I felt like I was starving.

It eases, just go with it and try not to eat too much junk. I always just told myself I'd rather that than nausea.

I am like a human bin for carbs at 7ish weeks. I wake up starving and am hungry constantly. The more beige, the better! Everyone assured me it will ease off after 12 weeks or so, so for now I’m just enjoying the pizza :)

ImMeantToBeWorking · 10/07/2019 16:47

@MrsEG I know what I want for dinner this evening! lol
