Boob issues!

My bra size has increased by several cup sizes since I got pregnant. My nipples are incredibly sensitive and I generally have aching or itching breast tissue at any given time!

I’ve tried several different nursing and soft cup bras and finally found a slightly padded one from mothercare that offered what I needed.

Except that, in this heat, my massive tits are squashed together (albeit very comfortably!) and I now have a sore red patch of sort of raw eczema in my cleavage!! ☹️

It’s actually raw. Like a blister!! Initially i moisturised after showering etc (3-4 times a day to stay cool at the min!) with E45, but now I’ve put sudacrem on it, and I try to go braless when I can (my titties fall comfortably under my freaking armpits when not encased!!!)

Anyone else have/had/know anyone with this, any suggestions? Sorry it’s a bit gross!!! But I’m sore!!! 😞

Sudocream and e45 are pretty thick creams so could be making it worse. I use palmers stretch mark lotion on mine once a day to ease any itching and as my hideous maternity bras also squish my boobs together I remove my bra for a bit every day I get in from work. I also put nursing pads in as my nipples are very sensitive and if they get dry use a nipple balm. Maybe try only using e45 at night and a thin moisturiser in the morning and skip moisturising in between. Showering 4 times a day will probably not help either as you will be rubbing it with a towel/applying soap too often. Perfumed soaps can effect eczema as well so worth considering changing if you use strong ones

Showering more than once a day will strip all the oils from your skin, which will most likely be adding to the eczema symptoms. I have the same issue with the big boobs i found a good sports bra helps when at home and then letting then breath at night. I also use childs farm moisturiser it really helps

It could be a fungal infection. Best get it checked

lineandsinker · 07/07/2019 09:26

I have exactly the same issue. I apply a pea size amount of La Roche Posay Lipikar Baume AP+ to the patch between my cleavage after showering each day. It’s keeping the red patch at bay!

As PP says, don't shower more than once a day, it's counter productive. Instead of using creams, try Hydromol. It's like a paraffin paste (almost vasaline like) and works a treat! X

It could be a bit of a fungal infection (very common in crevices), try some Daktakort if all else fails.

I have the same problem. I wedge a bit of microfibre cloth between cleavage which has helped. Apparently Asda liquid talk is meant to be brilliant but it’s sold out everytime I’m in - word must be spreading!

@Beldon, thank you...helpful 😉👍

** liquid talc. Not liquid talk Grin

devilishlygood · 07/07/2019 17:51

Haha...I worked that out 😉

I had the same thing (now up to a G cup) and found savlon got rid of it, pregnancy is such a glamorous time!

PoppingOneOutIn2020 · 11/07/2019 17:47

I was a 34G before getting pregnant, now I look like a G stuffed into a C cup, spangling out in every direction. My boobs were hideous on me before, now their hilariously hideous.

I'm a 5ft woman with boobs that over power me. I'm too embarrassed to go get fitted so I'm hoping to get away with a sports bra for the rest of my pregnancy. Uniboob here I come!

devilishlygood · 11/07/2019 21:28

Thank you @Pinkywoo, I actually went against advice and continued to shower 3times daily during the heat to keep the sweat away and to cool down, and applied a bit of sudacrem at night and it has cleared up now. Until the next heat wave I guess 😬😊

Glad it's cleared up, sudacrem and savlon are like magic!
