34 week appointment, feeling lost

Hi all.
So I had my 34 week appointment with my midwife yesterday, she measured my bump as usual and says baby is almost engaged and sent me on my way. My next appointment is on the 24th July (I'll be 38 weeks the day after) but I feel a bit lost.. she hasn't talked to me about early signs of labour yet or my results from blood tests.. I was told in a class I went to that she would start to mention some things. I just feel like it's a long time to wait for my next appointment..

Hi OP you should have one at 36 weeks.. I think she has just made a mistake, not sure how you book yours but if we make changes they are through our GP surgery so I’d ring up and say the midwife has missed your 36 week apt, so you need one booked in! You can then ask all the questions you need to do......and probably feel a bit more reassured.

For example I’m 2nd DC but consultant led, the midwife booked me in for a 31 weeks apt by accident as this is normally for first time mums.
I rang up and cancelled and moved it to 34 weeks as I’ll see my consultant twice in between and just don’t need to see my midwife!

36 weeks

Your midwife or doctor should give you information about:

breastfeeding
caring for your newborn baby
vitamin K and screening tests for your newborn baby
your own health after your baby is born
the "baby blues" and postnatal depression
Your midwife or doctor will also:

use a tape measure to measure the size of your uterus
check the position of your baby
measure your blood pressure and test your urine for protein
offer external cephalic version (ECV) if your baby is in the breech position
