Hi ladies apologies if this has been asked loads before but I'm panicking. Over the past 10 days or so I feel like any symptom i had earlier on is disappearing. I've been lucky not to have any sickness, just nausea which I've stopped getting. My boobs aren't particularly sore anymore just sometimes feel heavy in the morning. I'm still tired but it's not crippling. The one consistent symptom I have is horrendous heartburn, but I have gastric issues and can't take my tablets so I'm not really holding out hope on that one Sad

Has anyone had the same and had a good outcome? I'm 8+6 according to my last period but it could vary when I'm dated as my cycles are long. I have a private scan tomorrow but I'm really flapping about it and need to hear some others experiences.

Thankyou!

How is everybody doing? Just thought I'd check in 😊 I am 10+4 today, had my booking apt last week and my scan date is next Friday where I'll be exactly 12 weeks!
Still feeling bizarrely well in myself thankfully! Even went on a lovely (but very hot) holiday and expected the sickness to kick in but...nothing!
Other than feeling like I'm developing a bump already 😳

Hope everybody else is doing well x

HorseMum91 · 23/07/2019 23:22

@S082018 glad all is going well for you Smile
I’m currently laying in bed (the latest I’ve been awake for WEEKS) as I have my booking in app in the morning (I’m 9 weeks tomorrow) and I think I’m just excited that something is finally happening!
Symptom wise I’ve had mild nausea but absolutely nothing horrendous or debilitating, even the tiredness is manageable. I still worry from time to time that I don’t “feel pregnant enough” (whatever that means?!) but I’ve just been telling myself to trust my body and be grateful that I’m able to enjoy the process.

How was the booking in app? I’m not sure what I’m expecting but it will be nice to be able to talk to someone other than my husband who can answer a few questions.

S082018 · 24/07/2019 07:40

@HorseMum91 lovely to hear how excited you are! I felt the same.
If I'm being completely honest, I felt my booking apt was very rushed 😑 felt a bit like a tick box exercise! I'm back at the doctors today for blood tests as I didn't get them done at the booking apt itself although I have heard that some women have them done together.
I hope you have a better experience than I did! I guess I just had higher expectations that it was going to be lovely and relaxed and I just felt that the midwife wanted me in and out! They just ask questions about your health, family history, check height and weight and blood pressure and also complete a risk assessment to assess if you are high or low risk. And give you lots of information!

It'll be interesting to hear what your experience is like so please do update us! And good luck 😊

I know what you mean about not feeling "pregnant enough". I think if it wasn't for my mild tiredness, sore boobs and bloated tummy - I wouldn't even know I was pregnant at this stage!

S082018 · 24/07/2019 12:37

How did your apt go @HorseMum91?

HorseMum91 · 24/07/2019 13:17

@S082018 sorry to hear your appointment was a bit pants.

I had mine at 8:30 and the lady after me had cancelled so we were pretty lucky to not be rushed.
I had a bit of a wobble when I got there, we were rushing (my husband can NEVER leave the house on time Angry) so we ended up arguing in the car, then couldn’t get parked so I had to rush inside while he found a space and met me up there and I started crying whilst walking through the hospital on my own. Pleased to say this is the first irrational bout of crying I’ve experienced and I’ll try not to make a habit of it Grin
The appointment itself was really good though, lovely midwife made us feel really looked after. She’d asked if I’d considered a home birth as I’m low risk at the moment and she was very much singing it’s praises, which surprised me. My husband is less keen but if he comes round to the idea it’s certainly something I’d consider.
Was please to get to this milestone though, it’s can start counting down to the 12 week scan now !

S082018 · 24/07/2019 13:26

Glad your appointment went well despite the wobbly start @HorseMum91! Interesting the midwife was encouraging of a home birth. My midwife was the opposite and suggested that although I am low risk because this will be my first then to opt for hospital birth which I was in agreement with anyway!

Quick question - did your midwife give you your green book/maternity notes? My scan letter says that I need to bring this with me to my 12 week scan but the midwife kept hold of this. I'm not sure if she will give this directly to the hospital or if I should chase this with the midwife!

Do you know when your 12 week scan is? I'm so excited for mine and to see the little bubba again 😄 I know that the development of the baby from 8 weeks (when I had my early reassurance scan) to 12 is huge so I'm super excited x

HorseMum91 · 24/07/2019 17:52

@S082018 yes she gave me my notes to take away. A lot is done through an app on your phone now (although I’m not sure if this is dependant on area. I’m in North Kent) but I was still told to take my notes to every appointment, so yes I’d probably chase this.

My 12 week scan is 19th Aug. I’m excited but nervous too as I didn’t have an early scan in the end and have decided to wait to the 12 week scan. Midwife seemed positive today and wasn’t worried by what I’ve felt are a lack of symptoms, so just another few weeks to count down now until we get to see baby for the first time !

S082018 · 25/07/2019 12:38

@HorseMum91 Thanks I chased this up today and my midwife said they really ought to change the wording of the letters because they already have my green book and used the details in this to book in my scan! she said they will hand this over to me at the end of the scan.

Ahh I'm excited too but I can imagine your excitement levels are sky high because it'll be the first time seeing your little bubba! I cried with happiness (and relief!) when I had my early scan and just to see the little heartbeat flickering away was the best feeling ever 😊💕
You'll have to update us all on her once you have had your scan! I'm already counting down the days... 8 days to go!!

mrspotatohed · 29/07/2019 19:31

@S082018 @HorseMum91

Hi ladies sorry I've been a bit shit in the MN front. I'm glad to hear everything is well! I got my notes at my booking, mine was also a box ticking exercise and an in and out job if it makes you feel better!

I had my Nuchal screening today, measuring 1.5mm so all is good just have to wait for my blood results. I've also been pushed forward 1 day too (11w 4days now!) - baby looks like an actual baby now! Jumping around and moving it's arms and legs, could see it's heartbeat and it's hands and little nose Grin I hope this reassures you both, I've still not had any sickness or anything, heartburn and pissing like a racehorse through the night but other then that I have had a very beige pregnancy! Are you having the Nuchal or just the dating? Keep us posted on how it goes, I'm so excited for you 💕

S082018 · 29/07/2019 20:40

@mrspotatohed How wonderful to hear 🥰 so pleased for you! I am so excited for my scan on Friday although slightly nervous but your post definitely fills me with hope!
No sickness for me, increased tiredness again this week for some reason and same as you - can't seem to get through the night without bursting for wee!! I'm sleeping terribly at the moment which is probably why I'm feeling more tired!
I am having the Nuchal at the scan too. I will be sure to update on here on Friday evening!
Congratulations again ❤️ and thanks for updating us on here x

mrspotatohed · 30/07/2019 07:53

@S082018 aw I know how you feel, I was excited all weekend leading up to it wishing the days away and yesterday came and I wanted to vomit all morning. The fact my appointment was 40mins late didn't help as I was in utter distress over my full bladder and had to keep letting small streams of wee out. But I was terrified I would do it too much and they wouldn't be able to do the scanGrin

My symptoms had all but disappeared yet again beforehand so I was really worrying but all was perfect. I'm so excited for you! And very jealous you're getting a scan. I feel like I would be a greedy scan hogger if I had the spare cash BlushGrin

Can't wait for updates! x

HorseMum91 · 30/07/2019 10:53

Great news @mrspotatohed ! So pleased all is going well.

Despite not having my official 12 week scan (I'll actually be 13 weeks I think) until 19th, we decided last night to book a private scan for this Friday. My symptoms are pretty non existent again and I just cannot wait until the 19th.

I even phoned 111 yesterday evening and the male call handler was quite clearly baffled by what I was saying as he kept repeating "So you're calling because you're pregnant and you're worried because you have NO symptoms?" Hmm

I literally had to spell it out as to why that made me concerned.

Scan wise I'm 40% looking forward to it and 60% absolutely bloody terrified!
Fingers crossed all is well and its a great Friday all round!

DaniX91 · 30/07/2019 11:25

Hi everyone 😊 I've just read through the thread and wanted to add even more positivity for anyone who might be in the position of disappearing symptoms!
I had an early scan this morning (measured 7+1 which is about right) and I was so worried beforehand because my symptoms seemed to be going! I haven't had any sickness yet, my energy levels seemed to be higher in the past couple of days and my boobs don't feel as heavy or sore.
This had me really anxious but we got to the scan and saw a little baby with a strong, rapid heartbeat 😍. I've now booked a private scan for 3 weeks today 🙈 couldn't stop myself.
It was lovely reading all of your positive comments.

S082018 · 30/07/2019 11:31

Hi @DaniX91 I remember your name from a previous thread (two week wait thread)! So happy you got your BFP 😊 and great news about your scan. Congratulations 🥰

@mrspotatohed I have work on Friday morning goodness knows how I'm going to concentrate! I'm going to be a mess I can see it now 😂 not helpful at all that your appointment was late, I remember bursting for a wee when I went to my early scan it was horrible! Hoping I don't pee myself with nerves/excitement! 😳

DaniX91 · 30/07/2019 11:40

@S082018 yes I remember yours too!
Thankyou 😊 it's just such a relief seeing that tiny heart beating away! Hope you're keeping well

S082018 · 30/07/2019 12:21

@DaniX91 crazy to think a few months ago we were both symptom spotting during the tww and now look!
I know how you feel, I had an early reassurance scan a few weeks ago when I thought I was 7+4 but I got dated a few days ahead at 8+1! Such an amazing feeling.
I'm waiting on my 12 week scan now which is this Friday 😃
I'm very well thanks how are you keeping?

DaniX91 · 30/07/2019 12:41

It is crazy isn't it! Wow I bet u were pleased to be brought forward. Aw the 12 week one 😊 u must be so excited.
I'm good thanks, nothing much to report apart from sore boobs, tiredness and lots of weeing!

xTinkerbell · 31/07/2019 00:54

Try not to worry (I'm such a hypocrite because I worried myself daft). Like you, I had very few symptoms and I found they kind of disappeared (I'm sorry I can't remember exactly when) then some days I'd feel them, others not at all and I felt practically normal. All was well and I'm now almost 22 weeks so try not to worry yourself too much.

mrspotatohed · 01/08/2019 21:33

@DaniX91 such great news! I'm going to book for a 16 week gender scan. I can't help myself. It's the only way I can justify extra money on scans, my partner thinks I've lost the plot!!

@S082018 Oh I had to keep releasing small amounts it was just awful! What times your appointment? I'm so excited for you !! 💕

@xTinkerbell thanks for the input! Seems most of us have been like that! Mine are coming and going, I feel a lot calmer now I've seen the baby moving about, but I've signed up for a lifetime of worry now so I may aswell just roll with it Grin

ceilihouse · 01/08/2019 21:37

Yes he is here whining he is bored on an 8k holiday! Lost all symptoms about 10 weeks kicked back in with avengence around 14/15!weeks

mrspotatohed · 01/08/2019 21:38

@HorseMum91 I was terrified, at first it just looked like a black void and then she located the baby I just burst out DOES IT HAVE A HEARTBEAT. They must get it all the time, and it's frustrating when people tell you it'll all be fine and your worrying for nothing. The protective instinct is built into us it's so bizarre to me still how we can feel so much love, and worry about something so tiny and 'new' to us already!

What time is your appointment? We want updates! Grin

mrspotatohed · 01/08/2019 21:39

@ceilihouse 🤣🤣🤣 brilliant. What symptoms did you have!? I'm hoping for the 'glow' and the strong nails and hair Grin

HorseMum91 · 01/08/2019 22:26

@mrspotatohed yes I agree, I feel so protective over him/her already. It’s surprised me how much more careful I am around the horses already too, I’m so much more wary than I used to be.

Feeling a lot of responsibility regarding DH too. He’s wanted this baby for so long and I know he’d be absolutely heartbroken if something went wrong. I actually think he’d take it harder than I would. I wouldn’t say it to him, but knowing how he would be, I feel so much pressure for this to go right.

My appointment isn’t until 7:45pm!!!!!! So tomorrow is undoubtedly going to be the LONGEST DAY OF MY LIFE!! Grin
But yes, will make sure I update when I’m home.
Everything crossed for you tomorrow too @S082018 , do let us know how it goes

S082018 · 02/08/2019 10:08

Sorry just catching up with the thread now!
Thank you all for the best wishes! I will keep you updated 😊 just a few more hours to go! Feeling very anxious this morning but keeping my fingers crossed for happy news 🤞🏽
