Still breech, Big baby and unlikely to turn so booked in for section. Honest experiences? I'm a bit scared to say the least.

My experience was a bit different to you. My DD was beech and decided to try and escape a 35 weeks which resulted in an emergency section. A planned section is supposed to be easier to recover from.

I recommend looking at the spinning babies website and if you have Facebook there are a few breech baby groups where lots of ladies can talk you through their experiences,

Good luck!

I only discovered DD was breech when a pair of feet appeared between my knees in the doorway of the hospital!

They did say afterwards that a planned section was preferable and would have booked me in for one had they known.

Friends of mine who've had sections have said that a planned one is less stressful and they found the recovery easier.

I had an ELCS with DD last year as she was breech. I had growth scans due to something else and she never once turned so an ELCS it was. It was honestly an amazing experience. I had an emergency c-sec with DS at 31 weeks so I was absolutely terrified walking up to the theatre to have DD. I was an emotional wreck but they talked me through everything as it was happening and DP was by my side and I had the most wonderful first cuddle with DD afterwards. The waiting around beforehand was the hard part! We were one of three that day going in for ELCS but they wouldn't tell us what order we were in. I ended up being last so we were there from 11am and didn't go into theatre until after 4.30pm. The anticipation felt like my heart was in my stomach all day! Grin

Being scared is totally normal but you will be absolutely fine and on cloud nine once your baby is in your arms.
