Budget maternity bras?

Desperately looking for some good maternity (and possibly nursing ones for future) bras that don't cost the earth and aren't too ugly... 😂 Any recommendations?

Depends what you mean by 'budget' but John Lewis have some in their clearance £20 down to £10. I've not worn them yet as haven't needed to, but they look quite nice.

Depends on budgets but I some from M&S not the prettiest but wash well and have been used throughout.

I bought a soft plain bra with no wires from M&S. When breastfeeding I just pulled the cup down. You don’t need special nursing bras.

H&M used to do them, pretty cheap don't know if you'd call them attractive. Fairly simple and inoffensive I would say.

As PP mentioned it depends what your budget is, I always find the M and S £30 2 pack to be very good, although this season's collection doesn't look as pretty as past seasons. I also wore a lot of non-wierd bras that weren't maternity specific.

For late pregnancy/early days of nursing the Emma Jane nursing bras are really comfortable, certainly not pretty though. Whether you breastfeed or not your boobs will fluctuate in size just after birth so these are really good for that.

If you're talking a really small budget, please don't be tempted by the primark ones, they were the worst nursing bras ever! My Mum picked me up a 2 pack for a fiver, but the saving was not worth the resulting bout of mastitis Shock plus they looked wierd and bumpy, I would rather go braless!!

Wired not wierd Grin

I got these - they aren't the prettiest but they're super comfortable, are also nursing bras, good price, good quality and wash well. I was a 36D/DD pre-pregnancy and the large fit perfectly.

Grr, typed out a message and my phone froze and I lost my message :(

Anyway, I was going to suggest the "middle of Lidl" - they had a maternity range a few months back which was all great quality and reasonably priced (stocked up on £7 leggings and £12 dresses at only 7 weeks pregnant!) I know they always have bras so maybe check to see if they have maternity / nursing bras. Fingers crossed the maternity range does come back - it's really great value.

Hope that helps :)
