I just found out I'm pregnant (4 weeks) and my friend is cooking up a huge seafood boil/bbq. Lobster, crab, prawns will be in the menu ...

It will most defo be cooked and I don't want to tell my friend I'm pregnant just yet cause if it being early days.

Can I have any of these seafood?? Would you have it ?

What will you guys do? X

Seafood’s fine as long as it’s cooked properly!

It’s fine. You can have sushi too in the UK as it’s been frozen first.

Charm23 · 28/06/2019 07:44

As long as it has been cooked you should be fine! Sounds delicious, enjoy!

Ooh yeah! I’m well jel! Go for it!

Later in your pregnancy, read Expecting Better by Emily Oster for a good appraisal about common myths of what can and is not recommended for consumption in each stage of pregnancy.

Why wouldn't it be ok? Just avoid uncooked oysters.

Everything cooked is fine.

NHS have a pretty good website with their advice on what not to eat:

Hiya,
I love this forum lol

I'm 4 weeks pregnant and I've had cramps over the last 2/3 days, lower back pain and tiredness.

All these symptoms have gone now...

Is disappearing symptoms normal? I feel like I have a lot of energy again.

Pains and niggles will come and go throughout the pregnancy - your body's going through some pretty big changes!
