Had my jab last week at 20w, I was at the birthing centre for 20w scan but needed baby to turn over fir cardiac imaging, so I popped in to the MW team to get jabbed! 😊

I would never have not had it though, who wouldn’t vaccinate, ridiculous!!

Im 20wks now mine is booked this week but have a cold so said i cant get it if im still ill.im the same i take whatever jab they say, i had whooping cough at age 12 & it is awful so dont know how a newborn could handle that ,couldnt find a thread on to see what peoples views were & maybe help people choose to get it. also my midwife said women can get it when in labour too so its never too late

The end of 16 weeks for me. I have osteomalacia and it’s possible baby may too and so there may be broken ribs for both of us if we got it.

I had on the same day as my 20 week scan as they were in the same department at the hospital.
Think you can have it until 36 weeks or maybe later

I've had mine this morning - 31+4 here. Had a midwife appointment anyway and it was right next door to the clinic so made sense to get it all done in one go.

PuffsMummie · 24/06/2019 13:54

I was 28 weeks.

I think I was around 22 weeks. I'd never not have a vaccination.
My midwife recommended waiting until after the 20 week scan as if there are issues on the scan people tend to place blame on the vaccination even though it will be nothing to do with it. It just stops the negative press about jabs if people can't use it as a reason for an unrelated issue.

I had mine at 16 weeks. Didn’t plan to have so early but I was having my flu jab and the nurse said as I was at least 16 weeks I could get the whooping cough one at the same time. Made sense to me to kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

I'm 25+2 and have been booked in to have mine this Friday!

I am the person not having it done - but I have a valid reason for not doing so which my GP and the midwife agree with!!

I had the vaccination as an adult because I did not have it as a child and blood tests showed I had no natural immunity. Had the 3 vaccinations required, a month apart as infants do, and then another blood test 3 months later which showed no acquired immunity. I have been told that repeating the vaccination will be unlikely to lead me to producing any immunity so, even if I had it, I would not pass on any immunity to my twins so there is no point in me having it.
