Best for pregnancy travel insurance?

I'll be 26 weeks when travelling to Europe and my usual travel insurance doesn't mention pregnancy (either being included or excluded) so I'm assuming I may need extra cover for this (though will check before taking out another policy). Who is best to get pregnancy cover with?

Ravenhall insurance do really comprehensive cover for both you and your baby if they decide to make an early arrival.

You just get normal cover. Pregnancy is not an illness and they can not charge you extra for being pregnant.

I assume the OP has sorted this now, but in case others are looking for information, I would say that: yes, pregnancy is not an illness. However, once you get to the point where there's a chance of survival if baby was born preterm, it would be daft not to have specialist insurance that also provides for neonatal care, allowing parents to stay in the country, and medical repatriation when required. This is easier through a specialist company like ravenhall, and was about the same price as a normal company when I did it. Worth noting that they wanted a 'fit to fly' letter even though I was under 28 weeks, or the insurance wouldn't have been valid.

Again, probably already been sorted but if you read the ts&cs of your policy, yes pregnancy is not an illness, but many only cover emergency procedures and not aftercare. They also have limits to when they cover until. One I saw only covered premature birth up to 8 weeks prior to due date so once you hit 32 weeks then you might not have the cover you expect, others said 28 weeks. You really need to read the details for your policy.
I've gone with Ravenhall which link to the mamatob policy as they seem very comprehensive and cover to 36 weeks.
