Also, OMG when did people need to buy bigger sizes than they normally wear as I swear I must be only 4 weeks and they are already bigger

All the usual stores: Mothercare, M&S, Figleaves on the net. You might find that you change several times during pregnancy. I didn't though - I stayed my 42F right through and still am!
Bravissimo and Bravado do some good ones (via Figleaves) but get measured properly first in M&S or other store and then you can order your size.

mands and mothercare are shite go to bravissimo if your big they are fabbo

plus if yo have big boobs even more important that you dont where underwires and things believe me

i get on very well with my local lingerie boutique ownefr and she very nicely let me have quite a bit of discont on my materinty bras as i went up four sizes

FLIER · 25/07/2007 20:27

Blooming Marvelous have got some realy nice ones. I've got the Elle McPhereson La Mere in Black and Cream, which are gorgeous. Also the Emma Jane Lace trimmed in white also very nice. All are very comfortable.

I wore these second time around- v comfy and supportive, but no discomfort across the top of my bump, which I got with fitted m&s bras 1st time around. www.nctsales.co.uk/prodshow.asp?id=1064&cat=250&scat=252&parent=250

Have come to conclusion that such thing as a pretty maternity bra, simply does not exist. Did check out the links here and, no, nada.....

Caz10 · 26/07/2007 09:14

I've seen nothing pretty in the chain stores but went into a little local boutique yesterday and they had some nice ones, one was Freya and one was a brand I had never heard of sorry, can't remember it. But I think it's def worth looking in independent places.
My MW said they were a must after 16 weeks as your milk ducts are starting to develop then.

M&S maternity bras were/are my lifesaver,
They go up to a G cup,are very comfy, not too hideous and they're only £20 for two. (thanks to the mums who reccomended them)

I'm a 36F(and growing)I'm not sure when the exact date you have to stop wearing underwires but I went to get measured at 18 weeks and got told off for still being in underwires...

MitfordSisters · 26/07/2007 12:25

Why aren't you supposed to wear underwired ones?

I've bought Amourette bras from Triumph. They are soft, supportive and feminine. Also from figleaves.com. Why not underwires - am I missing something?

hayley2u · 26/07/2007 14:48

i actually stuck to underwire bras. i know not supposed to but others felt so uncomfortable and needed bit of lift off belly with my big boobs. not had problem with them and no i would possibly wear them again until my boobs eventually go back to normal

StormInADcup · 26/07/2007 14:49

wear when your boobs get too big for your normal bras!
M&S seemed the best for the size I needed (34E)

StormInADcup · 26/07/2007 14:49

wires damage bf tissue inside the breast

pinkyminky · 26/07/2007 21:12

There must be some pretty bras out there, but I went for comfort and support without spending a fortune (I was quite ill when pregnant so being comfy was my main thing). I did however spend money on some pretty nursing bras. You might have more luck once your beautiful baby has arrived!Good luck
