2 friends and my SIL are expecting around the same time as me, and i thought instead of baby clothes etc, i'd get a present for them instead. I don't have alot of cash to spend, but i've come up with this so far:

Bottle of their favourite booze.
Bubble bath.
Ibuprofen.
Cocoa Butter Lotion.
Chocolate.
New mother vitamins.

Any other ideas?!

or if thats too expensive you could make a really impressive looking basket with some cellophane and a bow that will cost about £1 and then fill with a bubble bath and some candles. Hope she likes it

slippers for in hospital (with non slip soles). Cracked nipple cream/calendula. Nice lip balm with an easy off lid (god the hours I struggled trying to get the lid of vaseline lip balm one-handed)

PregnantGrrrl · 25/07/2007 13:30

That's a lovely idea PregnantGrrl wish I was one of your friends!

I bought this "baby cratewww.hotelchocolat.co.uk/cid/ASS7G0XXRGC8UUV5E5WUH1NAYU7GM8Q7/New-Baby-Chocolates-P350002/" for my sis but can't afford to do that often. She did love it though!
