Consultant and due date

Consultant has sent a message via the midwife that I won’t be allowed to exceed 40 weeks. I have only met a woman who was standing in for him so far in one appointment so not met this actual consultant.

Does this mean I’m likely to be induced somewhere in 39 weeks?

I don’t have any objections to that I’m just trying to figure out what it means practically

Why are you consultant-led? I had GD and they also 'wouldn't allow me to go over 40 weeks' so I was booked in for induction on due date.

It's all your choice.
I was induced but I asked them to wait until 40 weeks

They dont want me going over 40 weeks. I have low papp a. Ask midwives why when you next see her. My doc said they would book induction for the day after 40 weeks but if busy then It can be a week before.

I don’t mind an induction at 39 weeks. Rather like the idea of knowing when it’s going to happen rather than the surprise lol. But I’m just unsure exactly what’s happening

They need your consent. There is no ‘not allowed’ . There should be sufficient information for you to make the decisions.
