Should I drive

Need to take my son to a hospital appointment half an hour but can take hour in traffic

I’m pregnant and piking , nauseous and extremely tired .

Background is I have suffered from anxiety in the past , stopped me from driving .

I have started driving again and have done shorter distances recently but conscious that I may be giving myself an excuse not to drive ( any anxiety sufferers will understand )

Question is would it be normal for me to take public transport in this state or am I avoiding driving ....

I think only you know how you feel and if you feel safe to drive x

There’s no reason not to drive at any point in pregnancy unless told not to by a healthcare professional. You’ll probably find yourself more comfortable in the car where you can control temperature, fresh air entry to the car, pull over if feeling nauseous/need to vomit, and don’t have to endure other passengers body or food smells. Allow yourself a little over the longer time to get to the appointment then you have time to stop if needed and, once at the destination, time to settle before your son’s appointment.
