Lack of movements

Hi everyone,

I'm a first time mum, 22+6 and the past ten days I've been feeling super regular movements and they're getting stronger enough DH can feel them too with his hand.

Baby usually moves at 5am and is quite active between 10-2 then again when I'm about to go to sleep but I haven't felt anything since tea time

My dog jumped up on my and landed on my stomach (she's a Staffordshire bull terrier). I did feel some shooting pains about 10 mins after this but I didn't think anything of it as they eased after about 5-10 minutes but I haven't felt him move since.

I've tried ice water, I've ate and I had a fizzy drink to try get some movements.

What would you do?

Apologies if I'm being over dramatic, I'm quite a nervous first timer, we've been through ivf to get here and I find myself googling and obsessing so I just thought id ask x

Call your maternity triage! They'll invite you and listen to the heartbeat (I can't remember at what gestation they put a monitor on your belly).
I went in a few times for reduced movements and they always said they would rather reassure you 100 times than miss you that one time.
I hope they can your mind at rest once you've been in!

When did the dog jump on you and how long have you had no movements?

mylittlenugget · 08/06/2019 11:13

I'd call your labour line, they say you don't have regular movements yet but with the pains as well I'm sure they'll invite you in. Not sure if they'll link you up to the machine as I think I went in at 23+6 weeks and they only linked me up because I was one day off 24 weeks but I'm sure they'll check you over.
I've found hot baths get baby moving as well as putting a speaker or my phone on my bump and playing music, shining a torch on bump whilst in a dark room can also help.
I hope everything is okay 🤞

I'd call midwife to be on the safe side.

Also keep trying cold drinks and ice cream.

EnjoyItAll · 08/06/2019 11:21

I hope everything is ok! I had a morning of reduced movements around the same time and when they put the tool on my belly to hear the heartbeat he started kicking. I felt I had wasted their time but they were so reassuring and told me to come back if it happens again

Go to the hospital. Now.

HJWT · 08/06/2019 11:38

Ring the hospital, they will want to check with the dog jumping on you!! Im rhesus negative and with that they would probably get me in for an anti D jab incase of bleeding so they would look at it as a significant bang to your bump x

Divgirl2 · 08/06/2019 13:16

Try drinking something really sugary (orange juice works if you don't have coke on hand). And ring maternity.

Xmas2020 · 08/06/2019 16:14

Please go to your maternity unit and ask them to listen in to put your mind at rest. Thanks

My MW isn’t interested in regular movements before 28 weeks (am nearly 27), at 22/23 weeks we had some busy days and some quiet. I was worried and asked but they told me not to worry as they didn’t expect a pattern yet.
I’d call and see what they say, but don’t be surprised if they aren’t concerned as it’s still early days.

userabcname · 08/06/2019 16:25

I'd call. My mw told me they'd rather you checked in with any worries at all than something happen. As you've had pains I'd think they probably will want to see you.

PixieDust26 · 08/06/2019 18:33

As other people have suggested, phone the hospital and go and get checked. I've been in a few times with reduced movements and they really would rather see you and reassure you. They will take your concerns seriously and put your mind at ease. Hope all is okay Thanks
