I know this may sound crazy but I would like to go buy something small for the baby but I'm only 14 weeks. I don't think it will Jinx anything I just worry that if something does happen the baby has nothing. So would I be reasonable in buying a small something now or wait until after 20 weeks or however long?

I'm with @happymummy12345. Not in the least bit superstitious but I'm 30 weeks pregnant now and only just starting to buy stuff. Seems mad to have it all hanging around gathering dust for months and months. Plus: the shops will still be open after the baby is born! Wink

I'm 14 weeks and have bought a couple of outfits and one fluffy sleepsuit (we're having a December baby!). We also bought the nursery furniture and a bath from an outlet this weekend so cheaper but they aren't being delivered until i'll be around 34ish weeks

Congrats and well done! Mine came six weeks early but came home with me at 3 days old so I was very glad we had the basics. Car seat, pram, moses basket, muslins, sheet and light blanket. Plus a snuggle bunny which was definitely more for me than him haha given that new babies can’t hold anything and I’d had it from about 16 weeks preg! He was tiny so we did tiny baby online shopping and dinky size 0 nappies once he was here, no stress and prevented over buying too. He did have to wear the only three newborn white babygrows we owned in hospital though until the parcels came and he looked ridiculous as he was a shade under 5lb so maybe buy a range of sizes later along, once you get more idea of the size of your baba! I couldnt hold my excitement and bought an adorable little outfit when I was about 4 or 5 weeks pregnant Grin

About 30 weeks. I’m not superstitious, I just think it’s really really easy to overspend when you don’t actually need that much! I’m nearly 34 weeks now and have travel system, car seat, changing mat and a few vests, muslins, nappies and cotton wool. Haven’t got a crib yet, but the pram carrycot is safe for overnight sleeping, so could use that at a pinch. Don’t see the point in buying loads of clothes because I don’t know what size they’ll be when they arrive.
