Change in movements

Hi All, my baby is usually a big mover, painful and visible movements. I had a scan yesterday and all was good, lots of movement as usual but last night (her usually active time) very little movement, much slower and lighter, not reacting to water and ice either. I'm going to go in to hospital this morning either way as I know this classes as reduced movements but looking for some reassurance. I'm 36 weeks and have a little dhiorhea last night and light back cramps. Could labour be iminient maybe?

Did you go in OP?

Hope all ok OP. I am 35 weeks and was in at midnight last night. She didn't move for 5 hours but they popped me on the monitor and she perked up in the end. Of course, kicked like a mule today!

It was fascinating watching the contraction counter. I'm also convinced she's going to arrive early

Hi OP, did everything go OK?

I'm 36 weeks too and have noticed a change in movements over the past couple of weeks.Mine is definitely slower than it used to be. I assume they are just running out of room and not sporadically kicking and punching and moving from side to side as much as they could before.

Since I can remember I have always had the odd day where baby doesn't move as much and then other days she's wild. She keeps me on my toes. Mine isn't as predictable as other baby's it seems. Which makes me really anxious at times!

Hi all, I went in yes and she's fine, she kicked a little more on the monitor and her heart rate was good but they did say any change in pattern to go back in even if its hours later. Her kicks have got less and not as fierce but no change in pattern since I went in but I'm convinced she's engaged (something my last two never did) as I feel lighter but I thought this happened just before labour when not the first birth? Just to say I know many don't think anything of slowing movement/change of pattern but you must get checked, the midwife and anyone who has lost a baby later on will tell you it's better to be cautious.
