Hcg not doubling

Hi all
I had a scan on Tuesday at 5 weeks and 2 days. It showed a sac, surrounded by some blood. My hcg was measured at 2160. Today I had repeat bloods, 48 hours later and the hcg has risen, however only to 3003.
I've to have more bloods in another 48 hours.
I don't know what to think. I know I should remain positive but I just feel now that I am waiting for the bleeding to start and another miscarriage to happen.
Has any one else experience hcg increasing but not doubling in the 48 hour window and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

It doubling is just a guide. If it wasn't tested you would know no different. The main thing is it has risen. Not by a small margin either.

I know the worry previous miscarriages can cause but please try and be a little easier on yourself.

I know that thirst to know what is going on over takes everything but you can't possibly know. Even if you did it wouldn't change anything.

Have you got anything else you can throw yourself into at the moment to occupy your mind?

Everyone will react differently to pregnancy. Plus every pregnancy is different. Whatever has happened previously has no reflection on what is happening now.

Good luck I hope it all works out x

Thank you Flowers
I just hate the unknown and the waiting to find out is horrible.
I didn't even as the midwife any questions and now I have so many questions and Google is full of such conflicting information.
I am trying to stay as positive as possible and hope and pray that it sticks on in there x

I know, it's almost unbearable. I can say try and find find something to take your mind off of it but it is easier said than done.

You could have asked the midwife a million questions and you still wouldn't know. You could sit on Google all day and you would still be none the wiser.

If you can manage it please just try and get out, get some fresh air, go to the cinema, look at holidays, make a nice meal, organise a bit of your house.. anything. Anything other than driving yourself to despair.

Whatever happens it will make you feel a little better and everything will feel easier to cope with either way. (Hopefully it will just be a time killer until the nausea and all the other wonderful joys of pregnancy kick in).

Sending you lots if wishes I really do feel for you x
