The only thing that stops the nausea is eating - worried about weight :(

Does anyone else have this?
I posted in a thread last week asking when sickness started for people as I thought I'd got away with it but at the weekend the queasiness started. I have to eat something as soon as I wake up and then find myself having to constantly snack throughout the day or I feel terrible and can't function. The problem is I'm eating so much more than I normally would, and most of it is carbs!
I normally don't eat potatoes, pasta etc and only limited brown bread as it bloats me out and doesn't agree with me, so now I already feel huge.
I've been trying to incorporate veg into dinner where I can but I really don't want it, or salad - it tastes like cardboard.
I'm worried I'm going to stack on the weight too quickly - I'm only short - or put myself at risk of GD.
Has anyone else got this? I'm 7-8 weeks at the moment.

Did those who had a similar thing find it came and went? Little bit worried that I feel so ok this morning although I know I should just be enjoying it!
I did have something to eat very late though, just before bed. Which I don’t normally do so I wonder if that’s got anything to do with it
I did find the watermelon helped yesterday as well

Yes I did- had probably one or two days a week where I didn't feel hungry-sick. Then gradually the non-days were more and more frequent until they got taken over by indigestion sickness...

@heyha thank you. I'm nearly 8 weeks and the queasiness started at about 6 and has got progressively worse but I feel...OK...this morning. It's unnerving!

Try psyllium husks, either capsules or maybe cedar with water. They fill you up.
Worked for me.

I had exactly this from maybe week 8 to 16 or so, really couldn't manage many veg, far too many carbs. I was lighter at my booking in appointment than my normal weight.. At a few days after the birth I was 5kgs lighter than at booking! Eat what you feel you need to, just keep active right up to the birth would be my advice :)

Thanks for the tips everyone. I can't believe that now I don't feel sick today I'm almost willing it to come back (had a MMC a few years ago, although to be fair, my symptoms didn't really fade then).

ah i know exactly how you feel!!
im nearly 9 weeks today and the last especially has been horrendous! and im really struggling only been sick one but the rest of the time i feel nauseous constantly.
I too am eating to compensate as its the only thing that gives me ten minutes respite from it! and even then im eating beige foods oh and drinking orange juice/squash as i cant stomach plain water!?
heres hoping it stops soon as im on the verge of crying most days!

On a positive note - I got nausea (dc4 and worst nausea to date!) at 6 weeks and it went on way into 2nd trimester! I also could only combat this by eating as soon as I got up (never had breakfast before) and snacking on rubbish all day long!
Now at 30weeks I have put on only 7lbs, and I’m pretty sure in the last 2 weeks since weighing at MW app I’ve lost some as well! I know I have another 10 weeks to go but at least there is some hope of not gaining masses!
